The Burrow was housing more people than it ever had. You and Charlie arrived the day before the wedding, as Charlie had promised to help put it all together, this also made you able to attend Harry's seventeenth birthday. It wasn't something too big, but it was nice. Harry got a few presents, though it was the golden snitch cake that was your favorite by far. The minister of magic, Rufus Screimgeour, came by too, as he wanted to have a word with Harry, Ron, and Hermonie in private, though you never did bother to find out why.
Another thing that happened was that Molly asked Charlie to get a hair cut, meaning he had no choice, and ended up with brutaly short hair, something he was highly displeased by, though when Molly turned her back you promised you'd help him re-grow it after everyone had gone to sleep. Which made you realise, you were going to share a room with Ginny, Hermione, Bill's almost wife, Fleur, and her little sister, who you had now learned is named Gabrielle. Charlie was sleeping in his old room upstairs with Bill, Fred, and George, who to your horror, had lost an ear. Bill too had gotten some horrible scratch marks across his face, which you learned he got after an encounter with a werewolf named Fenrir Greyback, though in some twisted kind of way, it did make you feel less outside, since you had gotten a horrible scar yourself that wasn't the easiest to cover up.
As night-time came it actually did take quite the while before everyone had gone to bed, but when you thought the coast was clear you carefully sneaked your way out of Ginny's room, and up the stairs, only to be met by the nearly bald Charlie half-way.
"I'm never getting used to that." You whispered as you gestured to his hair.
"Luckily, you don't have to." Charlie whispered back, then took your hand and lead you over to the bathroom.
As you re-grew his hair you could have sworn you heard someone sneak by outside the door, but figured it might have been your imagination, or someone who needed water, Charlie didn't seem to care about the sound so you doubted it was something dangerous.
Re-growing hair actually took a lot more time than you thought it would, but after maybe ten minutes you had managed it, and hopefully done it right.
"Aaaaaand we're done!" You smiled, putting down your wand and let Charlie have a look in the mirror.
"Thank you, (Y/n)." Charlie let out a breath, seeming relieved he didn't have to walk around with that haircut during the wedding. "What would I've done without you?" Charlie dramaticaly said as he took your hand in his.
"You would probably beg Bill to do it." You joked, causing Charlie to shake his head.
"Probably, or I might've done it myself."
You both got up and put away the stool you had been sitting on, though you could have sworn you heard someone pass the door once again, but didn't let it bother you this time either.
"Good night, Charlie." You said, making your way to the door, but Charlie stopped you before you could open it. He pushed your body up against the door, before pressing his lips against yours in a long deep kiss, one hand in your hair, while the other one held your waist, but then he pulled away far too soon for your liking.
"Night, (Y/n)." You gave him a look of disbeliefe, but smiled as he opened the door, and held it open for you.
"You're such a git, you know that?" You quietly said as you walked out of the bathroom.
"But you love this git." He quietly said back, though you both froze for a secound. Neither of you had ever said those three words to the other, and hearing Charlie say that made your heart-beat raise. Charlie stood still, opening and closing his mouth a few times before he spoke again. "Good night." Then he turned around, and went back up the stairs.
