She was mad because he actually shown up to her house when she clearly told him not to, it almost took her ten minutes to calm down before she actually entered the room."L/n, can I ask a question..?"
"Yeah sure go ahead as long it isn't stupid..like you."
"You're really annoying but i'll let that slide because I want to go home." he sighed as he turned to face the violin hung up on the wall. "Your mother, you talked about her once but where is she? You said she played meaning past tense but—"
"Wow you really are dense, she's dead, been for seven years." she glanced at him. "What? Are you going to ask how I learned how to play the piano too?" she sarcastically said as he nodded. "Are you serious— well I started because I saw this dude on the tv playing, he was really cool."
She decided to tell him because..well why not? Though the words came out of her mouth so easily, she was still confused on why she kept talking.
"Mom showed me how to play since she played before, I got it quick. She told me that I had a natural talent and then she signed me up for a competition when I was ten." he heard her say while his eyes widened a bit. "That's when I saw you play." he said.
"You did?"
"Yeah, you kinda gave me the courage to play more—"
"Even when you suck ass?"
"Even when I— what?!" he was shocked at what she said and that she laughed, she surprisingly laughed and he was a bit scared. Her hand was holding onto his shoulder as the other was holding her stomach. She was trying to keep balance.
"You should've saw your face! I should've took a picture of it!"
She opened her eyes as they widened slightly, looking in front of her to see him smile, it was smile but it was a smile. She gave him a smile, her eyes closing as she didn't see the small blush on his cheeks.
"You're always rude to me.."
"Because you're just easy to make fun of." she unintentionally ruffled his hair, chuckling as she set the music sheet on the stand. "So Ki-yoo-mi, have you been practicing like I said?"
"Well about that—"
"How are we supposed to win if you're not even practicing—?" the door opened, revealing her dad who held some papers in his hands. "Sorry to bother you two but Y/n can we talk in the hallway?" she noticed his eyes were red, sore as if he was just finished crying.
"Yeah sure. Loser, make sure you reread over the notes." she smiled as he rolled his eyes. "You'd sure make a great boss." he sarcastically said before she left the room, hearing the door close.
He stood up, walking around the room as he saw the shelf of trophies and certificates. All of them were her mother's, most of them were first place, the others were either second or third, none below that. He wondered if Y/n was the same, even if he's seen her twice playing, she's gotten first both times.
He sat back down onto the bench, waiting for her to come back as he noticed the small sticky notes on the keys. 'She probably forgets them from time to time and she talks about me?! Loser..' he thought, sighing as the door opened. He looked back to see her smiling but once he got a good look of her eyes, he saw how they started to get red as it seemed like water was around her eyelashes.
"Did something happen?"
"Nope! Now let's get this done, okay?"
