Chapter 4

[A/N] Sorry it took so long to upload the previous chapter!!! I felt really bad so I decided to upload this chapter today as well. Please excuse the mistakes and errors in this chapter and the previous chapter! I'm currently being flooded with a bunch of last minute school work and struggling to prepare for exams. FORGIVE ME OTL

[Niall's POV]

"Well, er, the truth it, um, well, I'm gay." I looked up cautiously at him, hoping to get some kind of reaction, mentally preparing myself for the worst.

A look of pure confusion was painted on his features. I opened up my mouth to say something but was surprisingly cut off by him instead.

"Oh god I'm so sorry I didn't know!" Now it was my turn to be confused. Why is he sorry? "Like I should've noticed from the way you like, never talked about girls and all. Oh my god, did I make you feel awkward with my talks about girls? Oh god, no wonder you looked so uncomfortable the whole time. Jesus, I'm such a terrible friend."

"Zayn, no, you don't have to be sorry. And, well, you've never made me feel awkward when you're talking about girls. I mean, c'mon, we've all heard Harry talk about his ladies multiple times. Tonight I was just a little shocked cause I never saw this conversation coming at all. I never even saw such a fancy dinner coming either!"

"Oh."

"Yeah man, don't sweat it. You're not a terrible friend. In fact, I'm the one that feels terrible by keeping it from you for so long."

"How long have you known?" he asked.

"Um, a while now. Since I was 14 I guess."

"Oh, um, how many people know?"

"Just my family, Simon, Liam and my neighbour. And now you!"

"I see," he said, with a tinge of disappointment in his voice.

"What's wrong?" I start to worry.

"Well, it's just that you told Liam before you told me," he whined a little. My inner fangirl squealed and was hyperventilating and awwing at his cuteness. Oh my god he sounds like a child and it's too adorable!!!

"Well I didn't tell Liam," I admitted with a smile. "He kinda figured out I didn't like girls and confronted me about it."

"So I'm the first of all the lads that you've legit came out to?"

"Yeah, you could put it that way," I chuckled.

"Oh gosh I feel so special now," he gushed.

This made me laugh. He's really too cute!

"No, really!" Zayn said, slightly annoyed that I was laughing at him. "I'm being serious here!"

"Haha, okay then, Zayn. Okay then."

"I have a question though. When are you planning on telling the rest of the boys?"

"Well Liam has been pestering me for the longest time about telling you guys," I said sheepishly. "I felt that you had the right now know first before them all, but I just never went around to telling you since I'm such a coward and all."

"Oh Nialler! That's so sweet! You don't have to worry about me being judgemental or anything. You're still the same Niall I know! To be honest I kinda suspected that you were gay but never really thought twice about it. Don't be afraid to tell the rest of the boys! If they don't accept you then they'll have to face Liam and I. Well, it's kinda unlikely that Louis won't accept you considering how much of a flaming homosexual he is."
