Kittens! and a baby?

  Caleb had noticed that his cat was getting fat and he took it to the vet to see if she was pregnant. It turned out she was and she was expecting eight kittens. The vet told him the expected time that the kittens would be there and Caleb went home and got everything ready. He noticed that his cat had started nesting. This morning he woke up to his cat crying. She was in the bed he had made for her.

  "Hey Luna." He said as he saw his cat laying in the box panting. He started to pet her when he realized that she was beginning to push.

  "You've got this baby." He told her. He earned a howl in response. He grabbed everything the vet had recommended to get to help the cat in case something happened because this was her first set. He got back to the bed when he felt a wave of pain wash over his stomach and back. He brushed it off as it went away as soon as it had came.

  "Come on baby girl let's have those beautiful kittens of yours." He said. He placed everything down and checked on the cat. He saw that she already had the first kitten most of the way out. He pulled gloves on and helped guide the kitten out. The mother cat instantly started cleaning the kitten so Caleb let her do it. It took about two hours for the cat to have all eight of the kittens. The whole time Caleb kept feeling the cramping in his stomach. It was getting worse and lasting longer.

  "You take care of your kittens while I go take a bath. My stomach keeps cramping up." Caleb said. He grabbed some clothes for after he got out and headed to the bathroom. On his way there his pants got wet and the pain intensified. He got into bathroom and dropped to his knees because of the pain.

  "Ahh. This hurts so much." He cried as the pain got worse. After it subsided he turned the water on and made sure it was not too hot. He peeled the soiled clothes off and threw them in the hamper. He climbed into the bath. It helped with the pain that was tearing through him every ten minutes.

  "Damn after I get out of this bath I am going to see what is going on." Caleb said. He leaned his head back against the wall and closed his eyes as another round of pain hit him. This time he started to feel pressure on his pelvis.

  "Ahh. What is going on. First it was the pain and now this." He cried as the pain began to worsen as well as the pressure. All of a sudden he felt the need to push so he bore down.

  "Ahh it hurts so much. Please make it stop." He cried. He continued to push but with no progress. He slowly climbed out of the tub and reached for his phone. He decided to call his friend who lives two houses down from him. His friend works in a hospital and he might be able to figure out what's going on.

  "Hey Vale I need your help. I have been feeling pains in my stomach for a few hours now and suddenly they have gotten wor- AHH GOD THIS HURTS SO MUCH. PLEASE HELP ME." He yelled as another contraction hit him. He dropped his phone. He squatted down and began to push but again there was no progress. Five minutes later he hears a knock on the door. He hears his friend calling his name.

  "I-in here." Caleb calls as another contraction hits him. He hears running and the bathroom door flies open.

  "Oh my god Caleb what's going on?" Vale asked him. He put his arm around his friends back and helps him to a standing position.

  "I don't know what's going on that's why I called you." Caleb said. Vale helped him out of the bathroom and into the bedroom.

  "Well from what you told me I think I might know what's going on. I think you might be in labor." Vale said.

  "I can't be in labor. I am not even pregnant." Caleb cried as another sharp pain tore through his stomach. He curled up on himself trying to get the pain to go away. Suddenly he felt a his friend press something into his anus making him hiss in pain.

  "So I was correct. You are in labor but you are only fine centimeters dilated. How about you put some clothes on and we can walk around a little bit to try and speed this up." Vale said. Caleb nodded his head and Vale helped him get some clothes on. Vale carefully pulled him out of the bed and they began to walk around. Every ten minutes Caleb had to stop because a contraction hit him. After two hours of either walking around or using a birthing ball that Vale had because his wife had a sone six months ago and decided on a home birth.

  "Ahh. They are right on top of each other now. I have to push." Caleb cried. He got off the birthing ball and began squatting down. He began to push bit stopped when he felt a burning at his entrance.

  "Come on Caleb you can do this. At the next contraction push as hard as you can." Vale said as he helped Caleb to a better position. When the contraction hit Caleb pushed as hard as he could. He cried out when he felt the baby's head stretch his opening.

  "Good job. I can see some of the head now. Keep giving me strong pushes." Vale said. Caleb continued pushing for the next ten minutes until the head was at its widest point.

  "I can't do this. It hurts too much." Caleb cried as another contraction hit him. This time he refused to push.

  "Come on you can do this. Just think about the outcome. Once you are done you will have a beautiful baby in your arms." Vale said. Caleb nodded and pushed as hard as he could. He felt the baby's head pop out. He reached down and he could feel a whole head of hair.

  "There you go. The hard part is over. Now you have to get the shoulders out. It will hurt a lot because the shoulders are broad. I am going to help you so only one comes out at a time so you hopefully don't tear. Only push when I tell you." Vale told him. Caleb nodded his head and bit his lip as another contraction hit him.

  "Okay give me soft pushes." Vale said. Caleb pushed softly until he felt one of the shoulders pop out. He cried as the second one came out. With one more push he felt the baby slid out and into Vale's waiting arms.

  "It's a boy." Vale said as he placed the baby in Caleb's arms. Vale put a towel over the baby and started cleaning it off some.

  "Why isn't he crying? Is he okay? Did I hurt him?" Caleb asked starting to freak out.

  "No he is just a quiet baby." Vale told him. Caleb nodded and started cleaning the baby off more. After Vale cut the cord he wrapped the baby in a clean towel.

  "Okay I have to get my kit from the house because it looks like you have a tear. I will be right back." Vale said as he stood up to leave. Caleb didn't respond because he was too busy smiling at the baby that was laying on his chest. After Vale came back Caleb saw that his wife was there. She was holding her child in her arms.

  "Vale told me what just happened. I will have him bring over some of Luke's old things that he out grew for him." She told him. He nodded his head. After Vale was done stitching up the rip he helped Caleb off the floor and onto the couch since they were not close to the bedroom.

  "He looks.just like you. He has your blond hair and blue eyes." Vale said when he looked down at the baby. Caleb smiled. He couldn't believe that he has a baby now.
