Chapter 39| Cute moments

Neil:"Hey...nothing will happen to you... us Ahana. This is all real and this will never change. I will never let your happiness go away. From now on this happiness is here to stay with you all your life. I am sorry, because of me you felt that all this is unreal. I always ran from from feeling and it made you think think that you and me could never be like this. In a way or another I am somewhat responsible for this insecurity but I promise you Ahana I will never leave you no matter what. No matter what obstacles come our way we will handle them as a team. Together."(He kissed her forehead slightly while she smiled through her tears)

Ahana:"Sorry it's just I keep getting insecurities due to the past incidents."

Neil:"Ahana I am supposed to be your partner. Your other half. We can share everything. From happiness to sadness. From Heartful confessions to all our insecurities. We can always depend on each other Ahana."

Ahana:"I know"(She smiles. Just then her phone rang. She picks up the call seeing Angali Calling her)"Hello Maa. "(Ahana went into the balcony to talk while Neil sat on the bed scrolling through his phone.)

Ahana came inside and sat on the bed lost in her thoughts. As if she was calculating things in her mind.

Neil:(Seeing her lost)"What happened Ahana?"

Ahana:"Huh?Oh..I was just thinking. Actually maa called to say that tomorrow is Karwa chauth. And before Bua ji comes home we should complete some preparations."

Neil:"Karwa chauth"

Ahana:"Anyways, I'll go and tell Preeti and Bhabhi."

Few hours later...

Everyone was Seated in the hall as Ahana and Preeti brought out the cake they had made for the kids and everyone.

Rahul:"Chocolate Cake? Today? Is it some special occasion ?"

Neil:"Papa the kids wanted to eat some so Ahana made it"

Sid:"You should give yourself some credit too bhai"(He said teasingly as Neil glared at him which Sid ignored)

Angali:"what are you saying Sid?"(She asked confused)

Sid:"Nothing mom. Just that today I got to know that Bhai likes baking. He and Bhabhi baked the cakes today"(Everyone gave a amusing/Teasing smile making Ahana blush and Neil glare at Sid more. But one person looked upset. Bua ji)

Bua:"This girl keeps crossing her limits. Cooking is a girls duty not boys. How can you ask ur husband to cook with you. Shameless"

Neil, who was boiling in anger was about to say something when Ahana held his hands nodding no.

Bua:"Anyways Angali, I hope your daughter in laws know that tomorrow is karwa chauth. "

Preeti:"Yes we do bua ji. Infact all the Preparations are also done for it"

Bua:(Satisfied a little)"Good good. Finally you all did something right. Tomorrow I don't want any problems. "(Saying so she left for her room)

Preeti:(Turning to Shruti )"Was that supposed to be a compliment?"

Shruti:"I am not sure"(Ahana who heard this small exchange laughed causing everyone to look at her)

Ahana:(Slightly embarrassed)"Oh..s..sorry "

Angali:"Never say sorry for being Happy Ahana."( She said with a smile)

Ahana:"Maa I'll go and get the kids to bed. Common Ansh, Aryan, Naira go brush you teeth mumma is coming"(The kids ran to their Rooms)

Neil:"Ahana wait"(He said standing up)"I'll go make the kids sleep you finish your cake"

Ahana nodded as Neil left after the kids. Everyone still sat in the hall as it was only 9 at night. They were all busy talking when Angali saw the time.
