Chapter 7

~TWILIGHT P.O.V

We were now on the dock in the Flying Car 2, Flint was sitting in the driver's seat, Sam was in the passenger's seat, Manny was in between them, while Brent and Steve were in the back.

Where was I? Well...

Since Flint's seat was a little bigger than Sam's, (As well as an extra seatbelt), I was sitting next to him so our shoulders were touching, I was tense at first but Flint grabbed my hand and smiled at me, which caused me to relax, so I was fine with it.

"Yeah! Brent!" Brent yelled, causing the car to shake, Sam looked annoyed at him, while Manny... I couldn't really tell at all, I was annoyed but happy he was coming along, while Flint looked done already, I almost laughed out loud at his face but I held it down with a smile.

"Okay," Flint said as he started the car, the car started and we rolled down the dock, soon we were up in the air, I saw Ratbirds flying next to us and I saw Flint give them a thumbs up, I wonder why?

We left ChewAndSwallow and up into the storm, the car started shaking because of the outside, Sam was holding her radar, making sure it didn't fall on the ground, Brent held onto the sides of the car, Steve was holding onto the ladder, while I had one hand on the seat while the other was on Flint's shoulder, who was still driving.

I also saw him cast me a look before looking out again, I saw Manny reading a magazine, not shaking like the rest of us, I wonder how he was doing that?

"Steve," I heard Steve say but it was vibrating, we were soon in pea-soup fog, "Pea-soup fog," I called out, "Manny, hit the wipers," Flint said, after a few seconds, the car was bit by a doughnut.

Sam, Flint, and I yelped in shock as I saw Manny went to activate the wipers while an alarm started beeping but it stopped after a few seconds.

"Flint. Twilight, there's massive gastro-precipitation accumulated around the machine," Sam informed us as she showed us the radar, Flint and I looked over while Brent leaned over the back seat to look.

The wipers activated and I looked forward as I saw Flint and Brent still looking at the radar, my eyes widened, "It's almost as if it's--" Sam started saying but I cut her off.

"A giant meatball to be exact," I said, "What makes you say..." Flint started saying as he looked forward as well, Sam looked up from her radar and her eyes widened, Brent's jaw dropped, while Steve grabbed my face in fear, and Manny looked up shocked.

"Water goes in the top, a food hurricane comes out the bottom," Sam muttered, "Glad I'm wearing a diaper," Brent muttered out loud and I looked confused.

We got closer and closer to the meatball and I saw food being carried out, the closer we got, the closer we got together in fear, I was blushing madly because Flint's right cheek was touching mine, I saw that Flint's cheeks were also a slight pink.

We drove past the thing on the bottom of the meatball that was sending the food out, and Flint looked at it nervously, we drove past and I saw Sam look out the window in fear, "Anybody order pizza?" she asked until the cars side mirror was taken out, "Whoa!" she yelped.

"Hold on," Flint said as he tried to maneuver them, "The pizza's chasing us?!" Brent asked scared/confused, "Sentient food? That's impossible," Flint stated but then I thought of something.

"Unless its molecular structure's mutated into superfood!" I realized as Brent looked me confused, "That's been genetically engineered to protect the FLDSMDFR," Sam, Flint, and I said in unison while Brent looked between us, confused.

"Pizza,"

The four of us screamed as the pizza started hitting the car and Steve kept yelling, "Pizza," about six times, then the flash drive which had the kill code on it came out of Flint's pocket, Flint made grunting noises while trying to catch it, which he did.

"That was close. I mean, can you imagine if we lost this kill code," Flint said with a smug look on his face, I gave him a black stare and he looked at me confused, "You jinked it-"

I didn't even get to finished my sentence because a piece of bread came flying in and broke the door window, "Whoa!" Flint said as he looked at it, he then turned back to find the flash drive gone, it must've gone out the window.

I face-palmed while Flint looked at his hand in shock and worry, Sam and Brent looked shocked, Steve wasn't even looking at us while Manny... I didn't know.

"Uh-oh," Brent muttered.

"Flint, give me your phone," I said, holding out my hand, he looked confused but did what I said, I smiled as thanks before I dialed the number I was looking for.

'Tim's Tackle Shop,' I heard Mr. Lockwood say from the other side of the line, "Mr. Lockwood. You're okay, great. Um, I need a favor. The fate of the world depends on it!" I told him and Flint looked at me with a smile.

'Okay then, Twilight. W-what do you need?' he asked, "I just need you to go to Flint's lab, get on his computer, and email a file to his cell phone," I told him, 'Um... Um... All right,' he said before he hung up, I handed the phone back to Flint, "Thanks, Twi," he told me and I nodded.

A giant pizza then hit the car, and Flint started screaming as we went down spinning, Manny looked over at him as he stopped screaming, I also heard Brent hitting the roof and floor over and over again, "Want me to drive?" he asked Flint and he nodded, "Yeah, okay," Flint replied.

I climbed over the seat and into the back and Flint followed me as we got closer and closer to the ground, Manny got into the driver's seat, I hugged Flint tightly and he did the same back, "Oh!" Brent yelped as everyone closed their eyes except for Manny and I.

We drove around different foods as the pizza crashed into different foods, we drove through a donut and the pizza's crash into it and it caught on fire, the others opened their eyes when we knew we were safe, Flint and I looked at each other before letting go of each other.

"Wow. You're a lot better than me," Flint complemented Manny, "Uh-huh," Sam mumbled while nodding, soon we got over the hole where the water goes in, "Okay, here's the plan: Twi, Sam, and I will enter the meateroid through the intake here, which should lead us straight to the FLDSDMFR," Flint said showing us where we'll go on the radar before turning to Manny.

"Manny, you and Steve will stay on the plane," he told Manny and he nodded, Steve was about to Spray the Spray-On Shoes into his mouth before I grabbed the can, "Steve. Don't spray that into your mouth," I told him as I handed the can to Flint, Steve whined in disappointment.

"Once my dad emails me the kill code, we'll destroy the machine, and rendezvous here at the western blowhole in-" Flint started saying before turning to Sam, "How long until the world's destroyed?" he asked her, "About twenty to forty minutes," he told her.

"Just before then," Flint said as the three of us looked outside with a determined look, "What about me, Brent? What do I do?" he asked as he wrapped an arm around Sam and I, what I didn't know, was that Flint was glaring at Brent until he let go on me.

"Uh, you can be... The president of the back seat," he said with a smile, Brent smile faded as Flint looked at us with a shrug as we smiled at him unsure, "Oh..." Brent muttered.

"Deploy hatch. Car upside down, go!" Flint said as the car went upside down and Sam, Flint, and I landed next to the hatch, "Ladies first?" Flint asked and we looked at him, "No? All right," Flint muttered before falling through with Sam and I following him.

As we fell, I grabbed Flint's hand and intertwined my fingers with his and he did the same as Sam grabbed his lab coat with her free hand so we were all together, "As long as we stay on course, it should be a straight shot to the--" Sam started saying but was cut off.

Brent slammed into us and we fell down a hole with us screaming, we soon landed in the dark, Flint landed first, then me on top of him, then Sam, and then Brent on top, "We're a team!" he yelled.

Sam, Flint, and I all glared at him in the dark.
