My colonists seemed to be surviving on meals provided by the berry farmers, but a desire soon rose among them to upgrade their tools to progress further. Being a generous (cough cough) king, I decided to fulfil their requests and send miners down into the caves to extract precious minerals from the ground.
When copper and tin were brought up to the surface by my trusty miners, which were then smelted into bronze by my smelters, another need arose. My guards were struggling to eliminate the large amounts of zombies that were flocking and bustling to enter my colonists' safe refuge. Soon, my guards wouldn't be able to handle such a large amount of zombies and this would be very disastrous.
Unfortunately, I was unable to realise this in time, and thus began the first security breach.
Zombies flooded in through the door and slaughtered my guards from behind. I heard the screams and whipped out my sling and sling bullets. As I entered the castle, zombies were entering the underground safehouse. I bombarded them with numerous bullets till the last one fell to my wrath. Only then I allowed myself to survey the damage.
Beds were left empty, colonists corpses scattered dead across the floor. Only few remained. I ordered them to take care of food while I constructed a wall surrounding the perimeter of my territory. Zombies were unable to batter down my stone walls and unable to climb them. However, I had to leave an opening lest I suffer a siege, in which my colonists would run out of food and starve.
When the wall had been completed, it was sight to see. It did indeed work, as well as looking nice. Zombies walked the perimeter of the wall until they found the opening, in which my guards shot them down with ease.
With bronze tools and a safe colony, the future was looking up.
