POV Amelia

Mabel doesn't want to believe me. According to her there could be a million reasons why Sabrina is acting so strange. Besides Sabrina was the only one being nice to her when she arrived here. I feel ashamed thinking of how i treated her.

The board has told us that we just going to continue our training. They tried to assure us that there are no serious actions taken to close the school so we are just focusing on the finale.

Because the competition was canceled some students have protested that nobody should be send home since the results are not accurate.

Clearly it's only been the people with the lowest scores who protested but to keep the peace they have decided to agree and nobody was send home. This will be the first finale with all the students.

POV Isabella

I can see officer Michaels looking at our training. Now and then he takes some notes in his notebook. Im dying to know what the others have said to him. I need to get that notebook.

Mabel appears next to me.

'Have you seen Sabrina?'

'What?' I try to keep my focus on micheals while pulling my stirrups down at the same time.

'Have you seen Sabrina?'.

' If she isn't here then no' I answer.

'Okay' Mabel smiles at me and walks away with Arabella.

I look at her. I can not understand that girl. After what happend to me, I was furious. I wanted to destroy everyone here.

She just walks around with a smile on her face like nothing happened, being nice to everyone. Does she not realize how bad it could have ended?

POV Mabel

After the training is over, I continue to look for Sabrina. Ambers stall is empty. I check the other arena's but no sign of Amber or Sabrina.

I go to our tack-room. Sabrina's locker is wide open, all her stuff is gone. I'm confused. Didn't the board announce that no one was send home?

I run to the main building. I am out of breath from the stairs but I keep going. I almost burst into our room. Her side of the room is empty: no bedding, no clothes in the closet, no pictures on the wall; like she has never even lived here.

I run back outside, to the parking lot. I see Sabrina loading Amber into a trailer.' Sabrina!' I scream while I run to her.

' What are you doing?' I say, still out of breath.' I'm leaving' she says while she ties Ambers rope to the ring on the trailer.

But why?'

' I have to go home' She walks out of the trailer and I can finally see her face. Her eyes are red and swollen.

'Do you want to go home? Did they send you home? Whats going on'.

Sabrina keeps her mouth closes while she locks the trailer and wipes her runny nose.

'Did you cut my stirrup?'

She stops for a second. Then turns around.

I can tell by her reaction that she did. A feeling of betrayal runs through my body.

' But why? I thought we were friends?'

The man behind the wheel calls her name.

' One second dad!'

She pulls me to the back of the trailer, where her parents can't see or hear us.

'I had no choice'.

' What you mean?'

' I had to do it' she looks around the make sure nobody can hear us.' They made me do it'.

' Who made you do it?'

Her dad punches the horn.

' I have to go Mabel' Sabrina lets go of my arms.' Be careful'.

I want to stop her. To have her explain this to me. But my legs feel weak and i can't move.

She gets into the backseat of the car. The engine starts and the car drives through the gate. I watch until I can't see them anymore.

I feel my whole body shaking. Tears run down my face and I feel sick to my stomach. I hear a voice asking me if I'm okay. The whole world is spinning.

No. I'm not okay.
