Natalie took a moment to collect her thoughts before following Gabriel back into the room where Félix waited for them, although they were greeted by a less than favourable sight to put it lightly. There Félix stood, gazing into the metal capsule, the covering plates being lowered to reveal its contents to the boy who stood in shock, staring at his own broken body before him,

"None of this makes any sense," he muttered, his voice devoid of all emotion as he maintained his stare towards his body, "I know this is real, at least it doesn't feel fake, yet there I am," a quiet chuckle escaped his lips, yet free of even the slightest hints of humour. Gabriel silently cursed under his breath once his eyes fell on what had gained a foothold in Félix's mind,

"Can you look at me Fae?" Natalie asked softly, reverting to the tone of voice she reserved for Adrien's episodes. He turned to face her slowly, seeming to suddenly become fixated on her,

"Fae," he repeated, a small smile starting to come to his face as he tried use this nickname, more so memories of who use to call him by it, as a distraction from what he had been confronted by, "Where's Adrien?"

The question falling from Félix's lips made Natalie freeze as she tried to quickly calculate the best course of action here, yet the person who Natalie wanted to interject least beat her to an explanation, although his faster response suddenly made sense with each word that came from his mouth,

"Félix, you must understand that we all have had to make great sacrifices so that you may return to us," Gabriel interjected before Natalie got a chance to give an explanation that had a bit more in regard to sensitivity and empathy, making her cringe with the thoughts of how the boy would react to the vague yet overtly concerning answer,

"What do you mean sacrifices? What did you do to him?" Félix's voice quivered, and again Natalie found herself trying to respond in a sensitive manner only for the man who clearly wasn't great with empathy, sensitivity, or anything else relating to the boys' humanity to interrupt yet again,

"Your brother did what he had to do for you, he had to sacrifice some of himself doing so," Gabriel responded with an unwavering stare directed towards Félix, "your old body was damaged beyond repair, so Adrien took on your identity into his own mind through a bonding process." As he was saying this he started to stalk towards Félix, observing the body language differences between Adrien whilst on edge and Félix in his current state, yet this triggered a response the likes of which he'd never expect from Adrien,

"Stay the hell away from me you monsters, I'd take death to this without second thought!" Félix belted out at the top of his lungs, his mind struggling to comprehend the idea that his brother had been deemed a sacrifice for his return over letting him be lay down for his eternal rest, worst case scenarios where his brother had effectively been murdered for him running through his mind as Gabriel froze in place, watching Félix cautiously observing his new body with tears streaming from his eyes,

"Félix, we ran out of options, Adrien's sacrifice was a necessity. He isn't suffering, in fact he's enjoying the same tailored world that you've been in whilst you have control of your new body-" Gabriel tried to explain, but was cut off by an enraged Félix,

"Don't talk about Adri like that, he's my brother and your son, not just spare parts. Is this really how lowly you think of him?" He hissed, his eyes turning dark as he glared at his father with an expression showing something that looked akin to bloodlust, enraged at what could only be described as the worst display of favouritism imaginable, unable to comprehend how a father, not his father, he didn't deserve that title after what he did to his brother, could even consider such a barbaric idea as to strip their child of their own sense of self to bring back someone who should be dead. He let out a laugh that only intensified with how long it went on for, yet it was abundantly clear that the laugh was masking the crying hidden beneath it, the stream of tears down his brothers cheeks, not his cheeks as it was still his brothers body, not his, as he began to feel a strong headache building up on him rapidly, barely noticing his surroundings anymore as he became detached from his surroundings, no longer noticing the woman cautiously walking towards him, calling out to him.
