Letters; a Jegulus story

Chapter 22

Regulus, Timothy, and El boarded the train to leave Hogwarts for the winter. They walked to the back of the train to find an empty compartment when James popped out of a room right in front of Regulus.

"Hey" James said happily.

"Hi James" Regulus responded.

"So you gonna sit with us or what?" James asked as Regulus looked at him with a look of confusion on his face. Regulus scanned the room and saw Sirius and Remus cuddling and Peter eating a sandwich.

Regulus and James had been dating for a few months now and yeah Reg and Sirius had become closer but they still wouldn't call themselves friends. And Regulus didn't think he had ever had a single conversation with Peter and he had very few interactions with Remus.

"Uh no, I would rather sit with those two imbeciles." Regulus pointed between Timothy and El.

"Hey! I am not an imbecile." El called from behind James.

"Fine, I would rather sit with that imbecile and that hopeless romantic." Regulus said with a glare at El. Both Timmy and El gave a thumbs up.

"Well Timothy and El can also come sit with us." James suggested. Regulus looked back at James and saw how badly he wanted him to sit with them.

"Fine I'll sit here. El, Timothy you guys don't have to ya know." Regulus said as he looked back at the couple.

"Nah it's fine I have to ask James and wolfstar a few questions." El said as she slipped in front of James and into the compartment.

Timothy followed her as Sirius and Remus moved over so Timothy and El could sit down. Regulus sighed and sat on the opposite side of two sets of couples and James sat beside him.

"So uh El, right? Uh what's wolfstar?" Sirius asked once they had all gotten situated.

"Ooh yes! Finally someone who actually wants to here me talk about this. Wolfstar is you and Remus' couple name I did that since Sirius is the name of a star and Remus is a werewolf." El smiled as the four marauders deadpanned over to Regulus.

"To be fair them two combined can get me to say anything if they sense I have a secret. They got me to tell them I was dating James after being in a room alone with them for half an hour." Regulus muttered.

"Sorry to change the subject but James, would you describe your relationship with Reg as a enemies to lovers or more of a enemies to friends to lovers?" El asked as Regulus and Timmy sighed knowingly.

"Uh... I would probably say enemies to like therapist and patient to lovers." James said with a chuckle.

"Mhm and Remus your relationship with Sirius is definitely friends to lovers correct?" Remus blushed a little but nodded his head.

"And what about you and good ol' Timmy what romance trope are you?" Sirius asked.

"Hmm I've thought about this and probably fake dating turned into real love. Cause at first I was just dating him so no one would know I'm aroace but then I thought about it and we got really close and I was like why can't an aromantic date some they like platonically, sensually and aestheticly? (Friendship, wanting to hug and cuddle, thinking they look good) So yeah that's what I'm going with." El smiled.

From that point forward on the train ride most conversations were between two or three people. At one point James and Reg started cuddling while Regulus, El and Remus talked about the books they were reading.

Peter slept while Remus and El read, the partners of the two reading looked as though they were about to die from boredom so they just snacked on candy from the trolly, James tried to fall asleep but ended up just cuddling closer with Regulus and Regulus took in the scene in front of him.

If someone had told Regulus 5 months ago that he would have been cuddling James Potter his boyfriend with his two best friends, brother and his brothers boyfriend and other friend he would have never believed them. He would've thought the world had gone crazy. He would've looked at the person and said 'nope sorry you got the wrong guy' and walked off. But here he is and all he can do is smile.

Sirius noticed Regulus looking at the group so he decided to ask the question that had been bugging him. "Why aren't you go to the Black house? I'm not saying it's a bad thing I'm happy your coming with us but I mean... how did you get Walburga to let you go?"

Regulus looked over to his brother. "Well she actually didn't want me to come home she said she was working on something and needed more time and that I could just go to Timothy's or something so I'm gonna lie and say I went to El's."

"Does this have anything to do with" Sirius paused to make sure no one was listening. "with the death eater thing." Sirius whispered. Regulus shrugged but gave a slight nod.

At that moment James shifted over to look at Regulus. He saw the worry and guilt on his face so James sat up and kissed him. It was a soft but passionate kiss. After they broke apart James gave Regulus another little kiss on the nose.

Sirius made gagging noses before yelling "RULE NUMBER TWO RULE NUMBER TWO!!!!!!"

This caused everyone in the compartment to jump from the sudden yelling before glaring at Sirius.

"I made rules for a reason. I mean come on it's not like Remus, James, Peter and I are the biggest trouble makers this school has ever had the pleasure of seeing." Sirius said before glaring at James and Regulus and continuing to gag.

Yep this is what Regulus signed up for when he kissed James Potter back on Halloween and ya know what, he was okay with that.

Sorry I guess I'm posting once every 2 weeks now. I feel really guilty updating so slowly but writers block is a bitch and being lazy is even more of a bitch. I can't tell you I'm gonna start updating once a week again but I will try! Hope you enjoyed the chapter tho! I love you and have the best day ever!!!
