~Chapter 4~

~~Aiko's POV~~

Dad and Jerry got into an argument because dad took me out to the bar with him.. Got a little drunk, but sobered up. It went like this.

~~5 hours earlier~~

"A-alr*belch*ght, Aiko. Don't tell Beth about this shit or she'll be on my ass." Rick portaled with Aiko to the house, and Jerry was there waiting. "Oh-ho-ho! I'm telling Beth!". "Don't. You. Fucking. DARE." That's when Jerry bolted up the stairs, Rick running after him. Aiko rolled her eyes, and followed. "Beth!! Rick let Aiko drink alcohol!!!!" "JERRY YOU FUCKING SNITCH!" Rick pushed Jerry. "Dad!! She's fucking 16!!!" Beth stood up from her desk. "What, so I'm supposed to let my kid turn out like Jerry?" Rick crossed his arms. "Pfft-!" Aiko snorted. Beth rolled her eyes. "Aiko, go to your room." Aiko flipped her off and went to her room. They argued a bit, until Rick went to the garage and slammed the door shut.

~~Aiko's POV~~

I went downstairs to the garage. I knocked on the garage door. "Dad?".. "Come in." I opened the door. "Close the door, please." I shrugged, and shut it. "PFFT- THAT FUCKING IDIOT!!!" I jumped, in shock. "You got my fuckin' brain! You can handle this shit, and you're my damn kid, so having urges to drink is fucking normal!" I facepalmed. Dad just ruffled my hair. "I'm glad I got a kid like you." I chuckle, a small blush on my freckled cheeks. "Aww, dad..."

It became the next day, dad and I were sitting in the garage, laughing at things and working. Until. We saw Lapis and Quagmire walk by. "Fuckin' fuck." I said, rolling my eyes. "Heya, Aiks!" Lapis waved. "Whatever. Sup." I waved back, then looked back at the work. Then dad looked at me. "Kid, you got school. Remember?" Yeah. I was in college with Lapis and all the dumbasses out there. "School is not a place for smart people, dad!!" I crossed my arms. Rick rolled his eyes. "Yeah, well, too bad." He shot a portal and I fell through. "STUPID OLD MAN--" I huffed, and got up, dusting myself off. A few people were staring at me. "The fuck you lookin' at?" They instantly looked away, as I growled. Lapis came running to me. "Aiko!" I rolled my eyes, and opened my locker.

Lapis giggled. "Heya, Aiko!" Her tail wagged. "God damn, why are you so happy to see me." I huffed. "Because you're my friend..?" She looked at me, tilting her head. I rolled my eyes again, and got my stuff. "Go back to your damn giggity boyfriend." Lapis crossed her arms. "You don't have to always be so mean, Aiks..." I shut the locker, and looked at her. "And you don't always have to be so nice. You're all, 'I'm so sweet! I love everyone, and I'm a sensitive bitch, and a stuck up!'" I growled. Lapis started to tear up. I huffed, and walked past her to class. She fell back against the lockers crying. No, I didn't feel bad. I don't give a shit. She can cry all she fuckin' wants to.. I open the classroom door and walk in, sitting at my desk.

~~Lapis's POV~~

I don't blame Aiko for the things she's said to me.... I really don't.. It's not like they aren't true.. I could hear a familiar voice. "Lapis..?" It was Glenn. I sniffled, and stood up, wiping my tears. "H-hey." He looked at me, wiping more tears that were still on my face. "Baby, who hurt you...?" He looked concerned. "Nobody... I'm fine.." My ears went down as I averted my gaze. "Baby please.." He stroked my hair. "Glenn, I'm fine..." I put his hand off my head. He sighed. "Gemstone, please let me help you... Who. Hurt. You." I hugged myself and smiled at him. "I'm fine.. Don't worry about it.." He looked at me and frowned. "..Okay..I trust you." He kissed my head. "Now, c'mon. We gotta go to class."

~~Quagmire's POV~~

It hurt so much to see Lapis like this... I've seen her cry, and.. She never tells me what's wrong.. I knew she was severely depressed, but.. I never knew why.. I put my arm around her and walked to class with her. When we got to the class, we sat next to each other. She was constantly messing with her sleeves, it bothered me a little. I held her hand, just to calm her down. She looked up at me, a slight smile on her face. She looked away.

After class, I walked out, holding Lapis' hand. She seemed to be saddened when she saw Aiko. I averted my eyes. "Lapis, baby.." I stopped, looking her in the eyes. Her eyes looked sad. She didn't look very happy like she used to. I frowned when I looked at her. My heart broke. I realised how broken she really was just by looking at her. I could feel Aiko standing there, staring at us. I looked at Aiko. She just looked away, and kept walking.

When I turned back to Lapis, she was gone.

"Ah shit-!" I yelled for her name, I couldn't find her. I ran to the roof, and found her standing on the ledge. "L-lapis, w-what are you doing?!" And she jumped. "L-lapis!!!!!" I ran to the ledge, quickly. I watched her fall. "F-fuck!" I called 911, running down the stairs. I ran to the front of the school, finding Lapis on the ground. "S-shit-.." I started crying. The ambulance gets here, and they take Lapis away. I stood there as I watched the ambulance take her, and drive off.

Later, I was pacing around my house, hugging Lapis' hoodie. I huffed, storming out of the house to Aiko's house. I kicked down the door, growling. Aiko looked at me. "Jeez. What's your deal now, Quaggle Crackers?" I picked up Aiko by the collar of her lab coat, shoving her against the wall. "THIS IS YOUR FAULT!"

~~Aiko's POV~~

..I- I don't know what to say right now... I just sat there. "Quagmire, calm down." My dad, Rick, walked in. "Hey, Ai--" He looked up, ran and tackled Quagmire. Quagmire dropped me to the ground and my dad and him just started beating the shit out of each other for an hour.

It all stopped later. Quagmire was on the ground, passed out and severely hurt. I huffed, and grabbed my father, taking him and sitting him on the couch. "Stupid idiots..." I walked to get the first aid and then cleaned up my dad, Rick. "Didn't have to start a fight, dad." Rick huffed, crossing his arms. "He was gonna hurt you." I looked at my father, and smirked. "Aww, you really do have a heart." He kicked me in the leg. "Ow-". He laughed. "Now hurry, this burns." I chuckled, and got finished up. I glanced at Quagmire. "Jesus. You got him good, dad." My wolf ears twitched and I got up. "I'll take care of him." I grabbed Quagmire and dragged him to his house.
