The wagon rattled, the horse limped, and the air slightly smelled of rotting flesh. The three of you had been traveling for hours now, making little to no progress towards the next "camp". You sat secure behind Levi and stared at Zeke who was steaming to regenerate. It didn't take long for Levi to catch up to Zeke, who was attempting to escape on a couple of titans. But everyone knew Levi would be faster and smarter. "Are we close?" You whispered to him.
"No, I haven't decided where we're going to go yet, the city is infested with Jaegerists, and I can't trust that Porco is dead in the forest."
You nodded and looked back at Zeke. He darted his half lidded eyes to yours and moaned out: "My glasses..." You looked around, not seeing any glasses on the wagon. You also inspected Levi, but he didn't seem to have them either. "Ignore him." He said.
"I need my glasses." Zeke whined out. You squeezed Levi's waist and nodded back towards Zeke. "This is the time I would advise you to daydream." He said. You huffed and turned around, facing forward and ignoring Zeke as Levi said. But you couldn't seem to slip into your dream world. He kept mumbling about promises, and his father.
"Are you talking about Grisha?" You asked Zeke. "No! Xaver." Zeke screamed. Levi stopped the wagon and stepped off of the horse. "Didn't I tell you to quiet down?" He drew his sword and started slashing at Zeke's feet, causing him to scream out in pain. This was the second time Levi had stopped the wagon to punish Zeke, but it seemed fit since it would take longer for him to regenerate.
"Ignore him!" Levi sternly said. He climbed back onto the horse and started moving again. But Zeke indeed didn't keep quiet, he just continued to ramble on about his childhood and everything that led him to this moment. The story was boring enough to make you zone out while staring at the trees, but you could still hear bits and pieces of him talking.
Under your fingertips, you felt Levi tense up and turn around swiftly.
"Y/N!"
He widened his eyes and quickly sat up from the horse, shoving you off right as a bright light entered your field of vision. You slammed into the ground, hitting your head on a rock. The last thing you remember was a warm feeling and Levi's cloak flying in the air.

"Y/N. Y/N can you hear me?" You heard a distant voice. "She's waking up."
You fluttered your eyes and looked around, trying to settle your vision and the light feeling in your head. "Where's Levi? What happened?"
You could see Hange walk towards you and kneel down. "We found you, but we're not quite sure about Levi."
