Chapter 8: Idea

Chaeryeong Pov

"Hey! Hey! Chaeryeong! Wake up!" I heard Lia's loud voice waking me up from my sleep.

"Why?!" I removed her hands from mine and closed my eyes again.

"It's already morning! Please go back to your house now!" Lia pulled me away from the sofa making me fall down.

Geez. This woman.

"Okay! Okay! I'm going to home now okay?!" I flinched trying to stand up. My ankles hurt a little bit.

I checked my phone to see that it's 5 am in the morning. Lia really has the guts to let me go home early in the morning. Unbelievable.

"So you're telling me to go home in 5 am?! Yah Lia!", I whined.

Lia rolled her eyes and opened her door and pushed me outside, "This is not your house so you don't have the right to sleep here, go home now! Bye!" Lia waved before closing her door.

I sighed stretching my arms before walking home.

I went inside Ryujin's house using the house key hidden in her mailbox. I saw Ryujin sleeping at the sofa with her blanket on the floor.

Why is she sleeping here? Isn't she supposed to sleep at her room?

Was she waiting for me?

No, that can't be.

I stared at her face for a few minutes. I haven't stared at her for a long time ever since Yeji became close to her.

Pretty.

Smiling, I placed the blanket over her and adjusted her pillows to make her comfortable.

"Sleep well, Ryu."

"Chaeryeong, come and join us!" Ryujin waved at me smiling widely.

I hid my face using the book I'm holding. I saw Yeji rolling her eyes to me.

For Pete's sake, when will Yeji stop being cold to me?!

Ryujin stood up from her chair and walked towards me. I even covered my face using a book as if it's going to make me disappear.

Ryujin smiled pulling me away from my seat, "Join us, Chae! Come on, you can study with us!"

"Yeji is already killing me with her stares. I don't want to die early, you know?" I whispered.

Yeji and Ryujin are sharing a table together in the library. We have an upcoming test so they're studying together and I'm studying alone.

Ryujin is now forcing me to sit with them.

Ryujin laughed hearing what I said, "She won't kill you. Just do this for the sake of your mission, okay?"

I sighed standing up going to their table. Ryujin chuckled happy about her victory.

I only stared at Yeji before going to the vacant chair beside Ryujin. Now, this is going to be awkward.

Silently reading my book, I looked away for a while to rest my eyes. Reading constantly for hours is exhausting. This must be the reason why Ryujin hates studying.

Squinching my eyes I saw a familiar silhouette at one of the shelves of the library.

I excused myself for a while and went to where the silhouette is.

"Hey Lia! Are you spying on us?" I whispered seeing her cover her face using a book.

"Shhh! What if she sees us?! Can you just shut up, Chae!"
