JAUDAH'S POV
When we got to our destination, I was left surprised, I was in awe, I was overwhelmed at what I saw.
My friends took me to a well decorated hall, everywhere was dim, it looks beautiful, my name was decorated on the wall with balloons. It reads "Happy birthday Princess". I couldn't stop smiling, I looked around and was even more surprised to see my family, the people I love the most, Ammi, Ya Hydar and his wife Aunty Raheema with their kids Nawal and Nawaf , Ya Ammar, Ya Adeel, Zain's mother Ummi, his siblings Hawwar, Khadeejah, Islam and Umair were also present. His friends Akram and Khalifa were also in attendance. I couldn't stop smiling, I felt the love, it was extraordinary.
I felt someone tapped my shoulder from behind and I turned to see who it was, it was Zain, lovingly smiling at me.
"Happy birthday wifey", he wished me, I was surprised he called me 'wifey' I mean since when? But when I remembered we were not alone I realized he might have said it because of the people around.
"Thank you", I smiled, accepting the gift he was giving me, he gave me a peck on the forehead, everyone cooed some even clapped and I blushed cursing him under my breath for making me go red in front of my in laws.
Ummi, being the civilised mother didn't even mind, she came forward and hugged me tight wishing me a happy birthday
, "happy birthday my daughter, I pray this year becomes a blessing to you, and may be give birth to my grandchildren this year", she said smiling wide.
My eyes bulge out of their sockets as I looked at her unbelievably,
"Stop looking at me that way, I want you to give birth to triplets", she said as she handed me a gift and everyone laughed, Zain included to which I pout.
'How can I give birth to triplets when my husband doesn't even love me' I thought.
They all came one after the other and presented a gift to me which I can't wait to open.
"Happy birthday Princess", someone said behind me, that voice, that's the voice of my most beloved brother Ya Faruq.
I immediately turned around only to see Ya Faruq smiling at me.
"Ya Faruq!!", I screamed out of delightfulness while he laughed at my childish behavior hugging me.
"And when will you grow up princess?, even now that you're married you're still childish", he said pinching my nose.
"When did you come back?", I asked ignoring what he said.
"Few hours ago, we will talk about that later, now it's time to celebrate your birthday", he said tapping my head.
*********
We had a small party with music playing and my friends dancing to the tones, 'such good friends I have'. There was enough food for everyone, I really loved my party, Zain really did surprise me.
We kept making eye contact whenever I looked his way, he was sitting with his friends gisting but his whole attention was on me. I really don't know what's going on in Zain's mind this past few days.
"I can see my brother can't take his eyes off you", Hawwar whispered to my ears and I blushed.
"Our beautiful in law has swept him off his feets", Khadeejah added and I lowered my head blushing harder.
"I never knew Zain will change because of a girl but now I believe it's true that a man changes for who he wants to change for", Hawwar commented and I couldn't stop blushing.
