TW; mention of drug use.chase sat at the kitchen table with tears in his eyes, so clueless on what he would he. he had no one to help him get through his addiction, and he knew he couldn't do it on his own. even worse, he knew if he didn't get over it noen would leave him forever. that was his biggest fear.
he was so helpless and sad, wondering why he got himself into that mess, wondering why he let griffin convince him to start. "just try it, if you don't like it you never have to do it again" the male's words lingered in his head. the words that got him into this, the words that fucked him. the words that made noen want to leave.
chase knew exactly what he had to do, but he was avoiding it. he was avoiding it at all costs. he didn't want to have to resort to that, he didn't want to deal with it- he didn't want to deal with, her.
but the stress was getting to him, he was so afraid of so many things. for one, he didn't want to lose his life or noen to his addiction. but he also didn't want to lose his life to her. he didn't want to get help and have it backfire on him.
the last thing chase wanted to do, was cut her free. but of course, it would have to happen sometime eventually- right?
chase got up from his seat and headed over to the basement door, unlocking it and turning on the light. he headed down and looked chrystal dead in the eye. he removed the tie from her mouth. "what?" she asked.
"i need your help." he said. she smirked. "oh really?" she purred, like a villain from a disney movie. she had dark eye bags, dirt on her skin and a mess of hair on her head. she could pass for a villains honestly.
"yeah- and don't look at me with those damned bug eyes. it's creepy." he said. "hm, well.. i don't think i'll help you." she said. "why?!" chase asked. "you don't even know what i need!" he said. "well i don't need to know, you're a bad person and everything you do is pure evil." she said. "you look like the evil, at this point in time." he said. "maybe because you have me locked in this damn basement all the time!" she snarled.
"don't get loud with me." he said. she went silent. "i need your help. i'm not upto anything bad with this, i just need you, okay?" he said. she sighed. "what is it?" she asked. "it's my health." he said. "wait what?" she furrowed her eyebrows. chase let out a heavy sigh before crouching down and sitting in front of her with his legs crossed.
"y'know that dude kio was friends with? griffin?" chase asked. "yeah, the dude that tried to kill you after you made him kill kio?" she questioned. "yeah. he got me hooked on coke. and i need to get off of it. i've been trying but it's so difficult on my own. you're my last hope, i know you can train me out of this habit. please? help you little brother?" chase said she stayed silent. "listen, i know i'm mean to you and i lock you in this basement because i know you wanna ruin my life but i still love you. if i didn't i would have killed you already." he said. she smiled. "alright fine, but on one condition." she said.
"what's that?" he asked. "you need to leave noen home with his family. no more dating young boys. this entire thing is gonna take a toll on his mental health, he's not mature enough for this." she said. chase frowned. "okay, deal. i just wanna be healthy again, i wanna be happy." he said. she smiled. "great we have a deal! now cut me loose and make me a sandwich, i've been waiting for his day for years!" she said. chase chuckled.
he cut the ropes with a pocket knife and helped her stand on her feet. "so, how are we st-" chase started, but he was cut off by a hug. she wrapped her arms around his torso and hugged him close. he gasped, but hugged her back, slowly taking her embrace. "i missed ya baby. do you think i could stay here even after we finish the whole process?" she asked. "oh of course, i mean, it's the only right thing for me to do after holding you hostage for so long." he smiled.
they both headed upstairs, talking and catching up while chase made dinner. suddenly, the front door opened. "i'm home!- HOLY SHIT BRUNETTE GIRL OUT THE BASEMENT!-" addison shouted, she pulled her gun from her belt and aimed at chrystal. "WOAH WOAH! CHILL, I LET HER OUT!" chase shouted. "you did?" addison asked. chase nodded. "hm." she said, putting the gun back in the holster.
"and what made you do that?" she asked, eyeing the girl. "she's helping with my addiction." he said. "oh good, maybe noen will wanna come back home after." addison said. "noen's not coming back." chrystal said. "what?" addison asked.
"we agreed that if she helped me get over my addiction i'd let noen on his own for good, back home with his parents." he said. "chase are you crazy?! he's in love with you! you can't let her take him from you!" addison argued. "no addi, he's not in love he's young and in denial. i have to be an adult and let him go. i can't keep doing harm to his mental health." he said. "well you won't be doing harm to him once you get clean! it'll be fine, i'll help you just lock her back up!" addison insisted. "no addison, okay? i'd rather loose him and help myself than wreck myself and wreck him too. chrystal knows me best, and she's gonna help me out of the mess that asshole griffin got me into." chase said. addison sighed and went to her bedroom.
and so the process began, chrystal and chase started detoxing whatever nastiness was in his system and keeping him from whatever drugs he had. it would be a long process, but it would be worth it.
