noen walked along the sidewalk in silence staying clear of his surroundings. every few minutes he'd look around. fix his hood over his head. check his phone. over and over and over. he did this constantly while he continued to walk rather quickly.

after long enough, he turned the corner of the street he was on and headed straight for the park. once he got there, he looked around. he saw vinnie. he smiled and ran over to him, giving him a hug.

"baby!" vinnie smiled, hugging his waist. "i missed you." noen wrapped his arms around his shoulders and rested his face in the crook of his neck. the two hadn't seen each other since noen moved back in with chase.

     "how have you been? i know you haven't been home very often lately." vinnie asked. "i'm pretty good, work has had me very caught up. what about you? did you get accepted to harvard?" noen asked "yeah!" vinnie said. noen jumped up and gave him a hug again. "i'm so proud of you!" he said.

"thank you! i actually wanted to talk to you about that." vinnie said. "well, talk to me." noen smiled. "i got accepted a few days ago, i leave for cambridge next month." vinnie said. noen frowned.

cambridge massachusetts? that was so far away, that was other side of the country.. noen was happy vinnie got accepted into his college, but he was upset that the boy would be living so far. and if noen starts applying for colleges too, they'd have so much less time together.. not to mention he's already preparing for SATs and other things to finish senior year.

"oh. well, we have very little time together being that i'm finish school and you'll be busy preparing to start up again." he said, frowning. "i know. but we'll make the best of it. and when i do leave, i'll text you every morning, and every night, and i'll call you whenever i'm free, and i'll send you cute memes and come visit whenever i get the chance." vinnie said.

noen smiled. "that sounds nice." he said. "yes, you'll have a daily reminder that i love you and miss you." vinnie smiled. "and you'll have the same from me. i'm still gonna miss you like hell." noen said, hugging him tightly. "it'll be okay. for now, let's make the best of the time we have together." vinnie said, hugging back.

noen had been seeing vinnie behind chase's back for three months now. he would sneak out some days when chase wasn't home, whenever addison left the house he'd claim he was leaving with her, or he'd say he's off to see his mothers.

he always had a bullshit excuse, and seemingly chase would fall for it. but recently, chase started to notice the pattern. noen was always out with addison, and when he was out he'd turn off his location. at first, he was nervous the boy would be in danger and he couldn't find him, but then he went in and talked to addison about it.

sunday afternoon around 7pm. addison is dressed and ready, leaving to hang out with some of her girls. "hey, i'll be back around midnight, i'm getting dinner and going to the bar with friends!" she said. "see you later!" chase said, watching her walk out the door.

noen stood upstairs getting dressed and ready to go see vinnie. around 8pm, he headed downstairs and grabbed chase's head, making him look up from the tv. he kissed his forehead before placing his phone on the coffee table and heading to the kitchen.

"i'll be back, addison invited me to go hang out with her and her friends." he said, grabbing a water bottle from the fridge and heading to the door. "okay, do you have a ride?" chase asked. "yep, uber is picking me up at the end of the street." he said. "okay baby, have fun and stay safe." chase smiled. "i love you more." noen said, heading out and closing the door behind him.

when noen shut the door, chase's smile faded. he had a feeling he was lying, but he didn't do much about it. he just sat in the couch and let the hunch of his lover's lie eat him away.

eventually, he felt like he couldn't take it anymore. he was so paranoid and suspicious, he had to do something. he got up and grabbed his phone off the kitchen's island before called addison.

"hey addison, is noen with you?" he asked. "no, why?" she said. "he told me you invited him over there with you guys. he left around 8." he said. "nope, i didn't invite him anywhere. and, he never showed up here." addison said." chase frowned. "i knew he was lying to me. thanks anyway." he hung up the phone and leaned forward on island. he looked around before seeing noen's phone on the coffee table.

'no chase. you are not that guy.' he thought to himself.

'yes you are. go for it!' that little demon was back in his brain.

'no, no. we are not doing this, we can't! we've been enough of an asshole as it is! just trust him!'

'that little shit is lying to you chase. lord knows where he is, or what he's doing, or how long he's been lying!'

'it doesn't matter!'

'yes it does! you've sheltered him, loved him, held him together, you've even distanced yourself to help him! if he's upto some dumb shit, he's in the wrong!'

'that sounds more like the shit he's done for me. without him i'd be a wreck.'

'exactly! so go through that damn phone, find out what the hell he's upto, and make him fix it!'

eventually chase's mental argument was interrupted by the boy's phone vibrating. once, then twice, then three times. chase gave in. he walked over to the coffee table and grabbed the phone. he unlocked it and opened the messages seeing the name "vinnie <33" he furrowed his eyebrows.

the contact has sent him three photos of him and noen together. can't even lie, that vinnie dude was kinda hot. chase smirked and bit his lip, just thinking about it. moments later he came back to reality, and started reading their texts.

he was so disappointed to see the heart emojis and "i love you" messages they sent back and fourth. seeing all the times they planned to see each other, conveniently being all the times noen was going with addison or going to his moms' house. suddenly vinnie wasn't so hot to him anymore.

chase sat down on the sofa as his eyes welled up in tears. he started to think about it, and thinking about it just made him more upset. his sadness soon turned to anger, and once he was angry, all bounds had been broken.
