as the weeks went on and on, chase worked the best to his ability to get clean. with the help of his sister, it was much easier then he thought it'd be. in fact, within a few months he was completely clean. and he was extremely proud of himself. chrystal was too.

it was a wednesday night at chase's condo. he sat on his bed, debating on what he should do. he knew chrystal wouldn't be home for a while, he knew now was a good time to go see noen.

chase lied. he lied to chrystal about their promise. he knew he wasn't going to leave noen for good. he was just waiting to get clean to go and see him again. chase knew no matter what happened, he'd always reel noen back in. it never failed. he had noen wrapped around his finger.

he quickly got dressed and grabbed his cars keys, leaving the house fast before addison could see him and question where he was off too. though he knew she'd support him in his decision to see noen, he knew she'd try to rub it in chrystal's face and cause trouble.

when he started up the car, he noticed the gas tank was almost empty. he sped over to the nearest gas station that was far from the house. he pulled up to one of the stations and parked, before putting the gas nozzle into the car. he reached into his pockets, but didn't feel his wallet.

chase went into the passenger side, and opened the glove compartment to find his wallet. when he grabbed his wallet, right underneath was polaroid of chase and jaden. he frowned and flipped over the picture. on the back it was written, "chase's birthday, 2021" which was just a few months before he met noen. he quickly kissed the photo and put it back, closing the glove compartment.

as angry as he was with jaden for attacking noen, he still missed his best friend and loved him with his whole heart. as rotten as chase's heart is, he'd do anything to bring jaden back. he'd do anything to make things right.

once his tank was full, chase made his payment and left for noen's house.

noen sat on his bed, wearing vinnie's baggy t-shirt in his underwear and fuzzy blue socks. he had been reading "the hate u give" while stinky laid on his thighs. he played quiet, calming music on his record player, his bedroom lights dimmed.

chase stood at his window, seeing his curtains closed. he sighed. he was afraid. they had been apart for so long, what if noen didn't what to come back? he began to overthink. it was like his good angel and bad angel were arguing on his shoulders.

'maybe i should just go. its been months already. maybe i just wasted the last three years away.'

'snap out of that shit chase, you're being a little bitch!'

'but i can't just force him to come back.'

'he's got no choice but to come back, after everything you did for him!'

'and what did i do for him? i killed his friends, i endangered his life multiple times, i took him from his parents, i showed him a life of crime! i scarred him!'

'chase, you're gaslighting yourself. you're supposed to be gaslighting him. and everyone else! i'm sure you won't even need to gaslight him. he's already been on his knees for you since the start.'

'it doesn't matter! he deserves better than this!'

'get over it, you're a psychotic sociopath who also happens to be a gaslighting pedophile. this is all you know, this is all you have. and the only thing that can fix you is that young boy who's right behind that window. and to his knowledge, you're the only thing that can fix him. so go ahead. knock on that window.'
