Finally it was Ryu's birthday, he liked the attention truthfully. He had always loved attention it attracted him so much.

So when everyone gathered around him with bright smiles and presents specifically for him he beamed his gummy smile that already had all the adults wrapped around his finger. He clapped his hands before immediately taking all the kids to the play room away from the adults.

By now he was already walking, well more like sprinting with how fast he had gotten. Running around the playroom toys everywhere new and old he giggled to himself.

"Ryu-ryu!" A familiar child like voice shouted making Ryu turn around to stare at him best friend as she bounded towards him.

He broke out into another gummy smile hugging Vicki, he never understood how people disreguarded her in the show. All she needed was help and support and he just hoped he could give it to her.

Dragging the small girl over to his toys they sat down playing with barbies and cars, his parents didn't care what toys he had as long as he was happy with them.

Ryu didnt notice his parents standing in the door way hugging each other until he looked up, he didn't know how much his presence effected everyone even as a child.

And he didn't know that each year that same presence would only get louder.

He didn't know that this universe has a habit of changing everything about you. But he would find out the hard way.

Even as he blew out the candles on his cake a small surge went through him, a surge that hit him in his core that would slowly grow until he was ready.

And while he couldn't feel it she did, his entire future and he didn't even realize.

As he was tucked in his bed for the night no one noticed the figure across the road.

No one in this town ever noticed.

The tiny boy woke up with a start, it was christmas.

Oh boy how he loved christmas. Jumping out of bed rushing to his parents bed struggling to climb up on top of their bed before jumping screaming.

"Momma! Dadda!" He kept jumping until the two adults woke up and picked him up.

He giggled as he was carried downstairs to the tree that he had helped decorate, looking at all the presents under it he clapped his hands flashing his famous smile making his parents coo.

Getting set down he ran over to the presents sitting in front of them.

And so the rest of the day was spent opening his presents. They invited the rest of their family and friends over all the kids showing each other their presents.

Ryu quickly grew different bonds with each kid and was determined to help every single one of them knowing how their future turned out.

He just hoped it didn't go south.

Lately Ryu had gotten into the habit of learning how to open doors and climb on top of things much to his parents dismay, not that he cared though because now he could actually do things for himself.

Much like his last life he had taken quickly to music and cooking, and convienently his new parents liked both of those as well. He decided if he ever got the chance to thank fate he just might.

Every chance he got he would go to the music shop down the road, the employees and such all grew to love the gummy bear of a boy. From the way he smiled and brightened everyones day to the way he loved different genre of music.

And just like Ryu's past life he fell in love with the drums instantly, it felt comforting it felt safe.

It grew to be too safe for him though that he would sneak out of the house at night just to play the drums at the music shop, so safe in his own space that he didnt notice the hovering figure of a woman.

A woman that was attached to him for some reason.

Not that he would notice, he was too stuck in his head and his bubble to notice anything out of place. Too focused on slowly repairing seasons in his head to notice him even being in the same universe was messing everything up.

Now that schools were out Ryu was able to interact with more older kids, it would help him in the long run he decided.

Since he was able to start talking more he decided to himself he would start "learning" korean as well. Since his first language was still korean and he still understood it perfectly might as well pretend to learn it.

It started with songs and shows, he would start pretending to learn korean by watching and listening to it.

This confused his parents but he didn't really care, he still wanted a piece of his old life and if this was the way to go about it so be it.

So soon all over Mystic Falls he became the prodigy son who was good at music and cooking and was multilingual only being one and a half, he didn't mind the title even thought it wasn't true. He just knew all of this stuff already, on one hand he was sad he had to basically trick everyone but on the other its good to do what he loves again.

Maybe in this universe he could make music since he wasn't able to in his last, that thought stuck with him.

I mean surely if he became friends with the vampires they had to have known people in the industry right?

And as he walked down the sidewalk at night babbling in what little english he knew he planned even more of his future. He planned it all out as he walked into the music store flicking the lights on.

He focused on planning not catching even a glance of the woman who seemed to be everywhere.
