Age 05

Ryu wakes with a start, instantly struck with fear. Usually he wouldn't feel like this but after being in a child's body for so long he slipped into child like habits.

He tears up letting out little whimpers. Looking down he notices he's tied up pretty tightly. The ropes dug into his skin making him wince.

"Ah you're awake little one!" He looked up at the male voice and saw a blurry figure, he cursed his eye sight that was slowly getting worse. "Sorry for tying you up so tight, didn't want you to get away so easily."

Ryu scrunched up his face tilting his head.

"Who is you?" He spoke up in his tiny voice which was trembling. "Why me, I here why?"

His heart beat sped up as the situation at hand got more and more alarming. All Ryu wanted was to celebrate his birthday today.

One normal day was all he asked.

"My name is Trevor, and seeing as you have no idea who I am you're new." The man walked closer his face becoming clearer. He instantly recognized the man from the series he used to love and enjoy so much. The man who had kidnapped Elena Gilbert and was beheaded by Elijah Mikaelson.

He shrunk in on himself as questions flew through his head.

'How does he know me?'

'Do I have a doppelganger in this universe?'

'Did one of his ancestors piss off Qetsiyah and now he had to pay the price?'

And most importantly.

'What the fuck is going to happen now?'

He was snapped out of his thoughts when a female voice spoke up.

"Trevor calm, you are scaring the boy. You forget he is still a child." She chastised crouching down in front of Ryu a small smile on her face. "Hello little one, we mean you no harm we promise. No harm is to ever come to you, however a certain original would like to see you."

Rose, who Ryu suddenly remembered, slowly pet the top of the boy's head calming him instantly. The vampire smiled to herself.

"Trevor untie him please, there was no need to tie him up in the first place." She rolled her eyes while Trevor rushed over to untie the tiny boy. "He's a child. He shouldn't have to endure pain."

As soon as the ropes were off Ryu was scooped up into her arms. He saw Trevor huff slightly.

"He betrayed us for Katerina!"

Rose rolled her eyes again bouncing the slightly tired boy.

"No, he has done nothing. Yet. He is still new to the universe, he is completely innocent as of now. Besides I quite like him like this, small and cute." She smiled down at Ryu seeing him fall asleep. "He isn't like we remember, he isn't the cold boy who guarded himself and threw sarcastic remarks and references we don't understand.

He's simply a child who unfortunately ended up in our universe and became a prophecy. He's a small boy," She then looked up at Trevor who was listening intently. "not the Universe Jumper, not the Savior, not the most feared supernatural being to walk earth. Ryu is just a boy, let him live like that for a while yes?"

Slowly her companion nodded frowning a bit.

He hadn't thought of it like that. He only thought of revenge.

It hadn't been much later when the suited original finally came, knocking on the door he was met with the sight of Rose carrying a child.

He squinted slightly seeing the obvious features of Ryu Chung-Ae and growled under his breath. Rose backed up still craddling the child but let him inside.

The boy slowly woke up from his nap and yawned rubbing his eyes.

"Where I?" He spoke softly, he hadn't noticed he slipped into korean.

Since Rose and Trevor didn't know the language they couldn't answer him. But Elijah could.

"Ryu Chung-Ae." He spoke making said boy freeze. He looked up and made eye contact with the Elijah Mikaelson.

Slowly his gummy smile broke out when he saw the nobel man. He reached out immediately wanting to be picked up by him.

"Up!" He shouted startling them all.

Ryu had absolutely no recollection of Elijah outside of him watching the vampire diaries, so when Elijah sneered slightly he was confused.

Tilting his head he pouted looking at Rose.

"Why he no like me? I no do nuffin?" He furrowed his eyebrows making the cutest expression Rose had ever seen making her coo.

"Oh darling you won't understand until you're older." She turned to the original and despite him having the ability to kill her if he very well pleased she glared at him. "He doesn't know anything yet, calm down Elijah. Just indulge in the child."

Reluctantly Elijah picked the boy up making him giggle instantly before Rose's words hit him. He turned to her quickly and narrowed his eyes.

"Nuh uh wha dat mean? Essplain." He crossed his arms trying to look scary.

And even though he would grow to become someone all three vampires feared to their core, none of them felt threatened.

Realizing this Ryu got angrier not noticing the glow from his hands. He scrunched up his face more.

"Now!"

He tugged Elijah's ear roughly making the vampire sigh and sit down. Then he started to tell the story of Ryu Chung-Ae. The universe hopper and man he once loved yet was betrayed by.

While Ryu listened he furrowed his eyebrows in confusion. Why? Why him?

Did this mean that the Mikaelson past was his future?

Would that mean that there were more people after him?

How did future him fuck up that bad that now he as a child had to clean up his fucking messes.

Ryu declared that he officially hated Fate for bringing him to this cursed universe.

And that he hated the Original vampire who instead of taking him back to his family, whisked him away to some how corrupt him to change his past.

He always loved the Original family, loved everything about them. Was struck with curiousity by their story and wonder when he learned about them through the cw.

But now all he could feel was disgust as Elijah Mikaelson held him captive, the vampire he once saw as a brave man who simply forcibly held himself together by a thread for the sake of family had his image ruined.

It was that night and many nights after that that Ryu finally learned something useful.

That if you weren't family to the Mikaelsons you were to be used and exploited in any way they could for the benefit of their survival.

Guess someone has to teach them that "blood is thicker than water" is simply just a metaphor right?

Sadly Ryu had to be the one and not someone else.

okay so like before you freak out at me Ryu hating the originals works for the plotline and his future lovers trust me!!!

also yes Elijah kidnapped him but we'll see Klaus in a bit dont worry
