There was a knock on the door. "come in." Moni said as she continued to wipe the tears that fell.
In walked in Layla, she had ice cream already knowing that it was Moni's favorite comfort food.
Moni and Layla had grown super close in the few months that they knew each other. They both were the first people that they both called in situations.
this friendship felt nothing like hers and Zalaya' she did refrain from telling her information in fear that she would tell somebody else.
She loved the feeling of a real friend. Layla walked over to Moni and hugged her instantly Moni broke down in her arms.
"its ok babe i know." Layla said rubbing her back. "Layla I barely know the man. How am I gonna do this alone?" Moni said catching her breath for a moment.
"I mean I know I'm not going to be able to abort it. I laid down and made it it's not..it's fault." she said crying harder.
"I will always be here for y'all.You ain't gon never be alone." Layla said giving moni a tight hug.
"where's Leon?" Layla asked. "he's still at daycare the school day is still in." Moni responded, Layla just nodded.
"well you said they tried to jump you are you alright? I mean are......y'all alright?" Layla asked once Moni calmed down.
"The doctor actually just left to get the ultrasound equipment. But they said there's no signs of distress so far." Moni said grabbing a tissue from the side of her.
just as Layla was about to respond there was a knock on the door. "come in." Moni said not too loud.
"ok we can get at started with your ultrasound." the doctor said walking in with the things.
"do you want me in here?" Layla whispered to moni as the doctor set up. "of course." Moni said.
"ok lift up your shirt and lay back please." The doctor instructed Moni to do as she grabbed the gel
"it's gonna be kinda cold." she said right before she squeezed the tube onto her stomach. without saying a word Moni and Layla stared at the screen anxiously.
The room got silent as ultrasound popped up on the screen. staring at the screen in complete and utter shock, Both the doctor and Layla just stared.
after a minute the doctor began to speak. "Well its does appear to be two fetuses." the doctor said moving the thing around to get different views.
"huh." Moni said looking at the screen. "yes ma'am." the doctor said turning her attention to the both of them.
