Scarlet's P.O.V.
After I finish eating my breakfast I start going upstairs to get my stuff ready for the beach. I mean it's already 10:30 am and Sarah will probably be here in less than 20 minutes because if you tell that girl 11 am your actually telling her "come 20 minutes earlier than that".
I go to my room and get an orange beach bag and in the bag I put my sunscreen, a towel, my phone, my keys and my wallet.
Just after that, I go to my bathroom to put on my purple swimsuit under my clothes. when I get out I look at my phone and it's already 10:55am. And just as I'm about to go downstairs I hear a doorbell. I run down the stairs and literally almost fall down the stairs but anyways I open the door to Sarah.
"Hey! You ready? I know I'm early but at least that means more time at the beach!!"
"yess, now c'mon let goo" I say literally almost pushing her out the door, but just as I'm about to close it I hear Damon say "hey where you going Scarlet?" Obviously I'm annoyed by his question because he clearly knows the answer considering he has vampire hearing!!
"We're going to the beach" I say very fast trying to close the door as fast as I can but he holds it with his hand and clearly I'm not stronger than him because I'm just human, so I don't even try.
"Oohh the beach? That sounds fun" he says smiling
"Yeah well....bye now" I say again trying to leave but of course I don't.
"Hey, maybe I could go with you guys, you know I could enjoy some relaxation too" he says smirking at me like he always does. God he is so annoying sometimes but I love him anyways.
In a friendship way of course
" Sure..you can meet us there. While you pack your stuff you know like a um..swimsuit?"
"Oh yeah.. You two just get going I'll catch up"
"Okay.. bye, I'll see you well in a few "
**1 hour later**
I feel the strong sun rays on me. Shit!! That reminds me I forgot to put on sunscreen! Shit, by the time I get home I'm going to look as orange and ugly as the sweater Sarah and I found in the staircase in school. As soon as I get up to put sunscreen I see Sarah come over saying she has an emergency and needs to go. Great! I was going to ask her to help me put on sunscreen. Now somehow I have to figure out how to make my arms long enough to reach my back.
"Feeling lonely I see" I hear someone say who of course has to be Damon.
"What? Nevermind. So what took you so long?"
"Oh you know hot girls got me busy, just the usual" he says smirking
"Ugh why you are such a Man-Whore?" I say laughing
"What? I am not! It's not my fault the ladies can't get enough of this" he says while taking off his shirt. He's probably going to go swim and flirt with half of the girls he meets.
"Okay yeah whatever" I say whole looking at him as to where he is going and I notice him come back with a beach chair.
"What are you doing?"
"Isn't it obvious? I'm gonna keep you company" he says and for some reason I smile.
As he lays down on his beach chair I notice how attractive he is. I mean with his eyes, hair, and well everything he would be a perfect model for Calvin Klein, I laugh at my own inside joke and Damon turns around to look at me.
"What? Talking to yourself?"
At first I laugh and say "nope just thinking about something" I say whole making the "p" pop in nope.
"It better be me" he says
Ugh why is he always flirting. I mean I should be used to it, he does it with every girl he meets and yeah sometimes me.
"Haha you wish" I say responding to his attempt at a flirt
"Your'e right, I do" he says lower this time and I look at him like he's retarded.
"Haha" he starts laughing. "you fell for it" he says laughing like an idiot
"Yeah haha no!"
"Oh c'mon it was kind of funny you have to admit" he says and then it stays in complete silence for the next 10 minutes and then I remember that I STILL haven't put on sunscreen and probably burning faster than a cake in an oven!
"Shit!" I say while getting up and going through my bag looking for the sunscreen.
"What's wrong now?" He says
"I forgot to put on my sunscreen"
"Oh..well that explains why you look..different"
"I do!!? Oh my god no!"
"Relax I'm kidding you look like you always do"
"God Damon don't play like that!!" I say throwing my towel at him. He starts laughing and I start putting the sunscreen on my arms, legs and face, when the time to put it on my back I feel completely embarrassed but then Damon just had to say "want me to help you there?"
I didn't know what to say but obviously I say "no thanks I'm good" but just when I say that Damon says "oh c'mon, here" he says while taking the sunscreen from my hand.
"No Damon-" but before I get to speak any further he cuts me off
"No Scarlet just sshh"
Obviously I cant do anything else so I let him. He slowly puts my hair to the side which makes it kind of awkward but I don't mind. I don't feel anything for a few seconds so I turn around to look at him and he looks at me too. I can see that he hasn't opened the sunscreen tap yet and while I look at him he does.
He slowly puts the sunscreen starting on my neck and I can feel the cold liquid giving me goosebumps. and while this awkward moment happened we're looking at each other the whole time.
A/N: hey so I tried to update as soon as possible and this chapter was getting very long so I cut the other half into a separate chapter that I'll probably post tomorrow or Saturday! So comment and vote if you want<3
