He was an angel craving chaos; She was a demon seeking peace.
I am not strong enough to carry all of what I feel alone.
After Peter woke up, he stayed in the hospital for another week before they allowed him to leave. He was super pissed about it, but he still complied after some convincing. I've stayed by his side this entire time still. I would lay next to him and sleep most of the time, as my body and mind was still trying to recover from the pain I put it through.
I actually left the room for the first time in weeks during that time as well. The boys were happy to see me up and alive and I was happy to see them as well. Other than that, I stayed with Peter and helped him with recovery since leaving the med bay was his top priority.
Ever since Peter has woken up, he was been a completely different person. I've always known him as an asshole, but the team hasn't, and I haven't seen him act like this much of one either. He barely talks to anyone and if he does, he is quick to anger and shouts at them. Stark has taken the most of it as he hangs around Peter the most and it hurts to see Stark so upset from Peters outbursts. I try my best to calm him, but him and I don't have the best track record to begin with, so it doesn't always help.
Today is the day he can finally leave and to say he was ready to get out would be an understatement. I'm sitting on the edge of the bed, watching as Bruce takes out the wires connected to him as Stark and the rest of the team stand by.
Peter's face was stuck in a stoic expression as he waits for the last wire to be removed. He always looked so mad nowadays and it actually bothers me seeing him so angry all the time. Once the last wire is removed. He throws the blanket off of him and tries to move to the edge of the bed to stand up.
"Take it slow kid, your body is still weak." Peter only rolls his eyes at Starks words and throws his legs over the side. I watch as he takes a breath in and pushes himself off of the bed. He stands up shakily and a smile breaks out across my face. Once he is standing okay, he tries to move his leg. As he goes to walk, his legs give out and Stark catches him before he falls to the floor.
I jump out of the bed and move towards him, but he just holds his hand up. "I'm fine. Now get off of me." He pushes Stark away roughly, and I give him a sad look. Peter continues to try and walk, falling over quite a lot as his legs haven't been used in a while. I could tell he was getting frustrated, so I speak in his mind to calm him.
Calm down and focus on the task at hand. You got this.
He nods at my words in his head and starts to practice more calmly. After a few more tries, he is able to walk on his own without falling over or needing assistance.
Steve walks over and pats him on the back. "Nice going kid, we knew you could do it." Peter just rolls his eyes and pushes Steve off of him.
"Whatever Captain." He moves past everyone, not acknowledging anyone as he makes his way through. "I'm going to take a shower." He grumbles out and leaves the room.
I contemplate if I should follow him or give him some space, but the look on Starks face makes me want to make sure he is alright. "I'll go talk to him." I say to Stark and the others and follow behind Peter to his room.
He gets in the elevator and I see the doors shutting so I teleport inside. He jumps lightly when I land beside him. "What are you doing here?" He says in an annoyed voice.
