Park Sun-Bin (Korean: 박선빈; born October 1, 1996), better known by her stage name Sun (stylized as SUN), is a female South Korean rapper, singer, songwriter, dancer, record producer, actress and model. In 2013, Sun made her debut as the only female member of South Korean boy band BTS, managed under Big Hit Music.

1996 - 2012 : Early life

Sun was born as Park Sun-Bin (Korean: 박선빈) on October 1, 1996, in Namyangju, Gyeonggi-do, South Korea, where she lived with her parents, younger brother and sister.

Before debuting in BTS, Sun was a ballerina under Universal Ballet Academy in Gwangjin-gu from the age of 5 till 14, when she signed contract with Big Hit Entertainment. In the ballet and classic dances worlds, Sun has made a name for herself since young, winning various local prices for dance. Even with her dance skills, sing and rap were always part of her life that eventually led her to audition as a trainee in Big Hit Entertainment.

2013 - present: BTS and schedule activities

On June 13, 2013, Sun made her debut as a member of BTS on Mnet's M! Countdown with the track "No More Dream" from their debut single album 2 Cool 4 Skool. She was the fourth member to join the group as a trainee after RM, Suga and J-hope . Sun has  been involved in the creation process of every album in BTS' discography.

2012 - present: Solo activities and mixtapes

While still in her trainee years, Sun was asked to be apart of the drama School High 2, where she made a cameo in 2 episodes.

In June 2016, in a speciall colaboration with Park Chan-Yeol from EXO, on the korean music programm, Music Bank, they sang together a special version of the song Dream, originally from Suzy ft. Baekhyun.

In between 2016 and 2017, alongside, her bandmade, V, she had a supporting role in KBS2's historical drama Hwarang: The Poet Warrior Youth, where she portraited the role of Princess Suk-Myung,
