PRE-DEBUT || Part 10

~ July 2011 ~ 

It was finally summer, the weather was finally warmer, something that the boys would be thankful for, if their dorm had AC. But obviously, it did not, and so, they had to put 3 fans all over the already small dorm, that was already decreasing in size with every new member that Bighit was bringing.

The lasted addition, was the new maknae, Jeon Jung-Kook, he arrived in the dorms almost a month ago, but he was definatly the shyest member of all of them. He was still warming up to all of the already existing roommates, but wasn't yet comfortable enough to make conversations with any of them, the majority of time he just looked curious at what everyone was doing and said little words, no one has ever head a phrase bigger than 3 or 4  words coming out of him.

Everyone was trying to be friendly and trying to integrate him in any way possible, but the shyness of the boy did not help.

Sunbin was still having dinner in the kitchen area, she stayed behind at the practice room to finishing polishing a move that was annoying her for the last two days. Since it was already 10pm and they had practice in the morning, Sunbin thought that the boys were already sleeping or at least in bed. But when she passed by the bathroom door she heard someone sniffle inside.

"Is everything ok?" Sunbin said while leaning closer to the door to hear the noise inside trying to figure out which one of the boys was crying late at night.

"Noona, I'm okay" Being called Noona limited the option to only one boy on the household, the youngest. Sunbin did not believe in him not even in a bit. So, she sat on the floor across from the bathroom door waiting for the moment that Jungkook would calm down and get out of the bathroom.

After 10 minutes, Jungkook came out of the bathroom, what he was not expecting is to see Sunbin with his jacket in one hand and a pair of his shoes in another.

"Dress we are going out."

"Noona, is almost 11pm, Hyung and the manager will kill us"

"Only if they find out, now, let's go"

After both of the maknaes putting theirs coats and shoes on, they left as quietly as possible and trying to not wake up none of the eldest members.

"Are you sure we should be doing this?"

Sunbin only nodded with her head and pulled the hand of the youngest who was as tall as her, down the stairs and out of the dorm building. After going outside, they were hit by the warm night atmosphere, they started walking down the road without a particular destiny in mind.

The walk was extremely quiet, Sunbin wanted to make conversations with the youngest, and even ask him why he was crying earlier, but her own shyness was making her conflicted in what she should say.

"Noo-"

"Jun-" Both of them tried to talk at the same time which ended up with them giggle like little kids. "Go ahead Kookie"

"Kookie?"

"Y-yeah, i-it's a cute nickname. I-If you don't like it i won't call you that!"

"I like it Noona, it is actually what my parent used to called me when I was younger"

After finishing the sentence, Sunbin could sense that Jungkook mood has shifted, and she kind of understood the possible reason why he was crying earlier "Do you miss them?"

"Y-yeah. I-I know I came to Seoul to follow my dream, b-but is hard leaving my family back in Busan"

"You know, two days after I arrived at the dorms, I was already calling my mum to come and pick me up, because I was missing them terribly." Sunbin said while smiling lightly remembering the phone conversation she had with her mother that day. Jungkook was looking at her with a sly smile on his face.

"Well, I won Noona, I called only 4 days after" Jungkook laughed while trying to lift up the mood a little. He understood, that even if he thought he was alone and no one else understood how he was feeling, his other 5 housemates were feeling exactly the same thing as him, them also had to leave their families behind to follow their dream.

"You brat. This is not a competition"

"Yeah, don't care. I won"

Sunbin was trying to stay mad at the youngest, but how could she, when he was pulling on the of the most beautiful smiles Sunbin has ever seen, and she promised herself that she would do anything to keep that smile at the youngest face all the time.

"I'm hangry. I want Ice Cream."

"Noona, it's hungry"

"No it's not, I am angry and hungry!! Now, there is a market near here, I think, so let's see if they are open because I want Ice Cream" Sunbin said and took running down the road, making Jungkook run after the girl.

"Noona, stop running"

"No, hurry up Kookie, I want Ice cream"

After catching up with the older, they dashed throw the street in searched for an open store that could kill the older's craving.

After arriving at the market, they went straight to the ice cream reserved section of the store.

"Which want to you want Kookie?"

"Mint Choco Noona, please!"

"Finally, someone who has a good taste in Ice cream" Sunbin said while hugging the younger just because they shared the same love for Mint Choco, and living with two antis of it, Sunbin was happy that someone could understand her love.

Located across from the store, the park was the youngest next destination, both sat on the swings and swing themselves softly with only their foots while eating their ice cream and talking and getting to know more about each other.

"Let's make a promise Kookie, every time that one of us fell down or needs to talk, we go to eat ice cream together at night"

Sunbin said while extending her pinkie at the younger

"Promise, Noona" Jungkook said while extend and connect his pinkie with Sunbin.

Meanwhile back at the dorm, Namjoon woke from his sleep, he went to the bathroom and while walking back to the room, he noticed two beds still empty and no one was at the living room, he was starting to panic thinking that he lost the 2 youngest members already.

"Relax Joon, they left 20 minutes ago, Sun came in the room to pick their jackets and stole 1 000 wons from Jin Hyung's wallet, they probably went to the store near the dorm, you did not lose anyone"

"Those kids could at least warned someone, go to sleep Hyung I will wait for them to arrive and give them an earful"

"Joon, go to sleep! I will wait for them. And let the kids breath. And I think they needed this, they need someone to talk with their own age"

"Hyung you have became a softy with those two" Namjoon said laughting lightly trying to not wake up the other 2 members

"Go to sleep Joon!"

"Night, Yoongi hyung"

"Night Joon"
