Third-person pov
Y/n laid in her bed with a large radio in one hand. Laughter filled the room.
"Do you have any plans tomorrow?" came a voice from the radio. That voice belonged to Mike Wheeler.
Mike wheeler was a great friend of Y/n's.
They were friends since they were newborns.
Slowly as the years went by they started growing distant but they still kept contact.
Even though they grew apart Y/n's feelings started developing.
She'd get butterflies when she was around him. Even hearing his voice made her cheeks turns red.
As soon as she knew it she was falling for her best friend.
"I'm free but I do still have school" she replied with a giggle.
"Of course I know we have school! We go together every day!" He yelled from the other end.
"Okay, so where do you wanna go after school?" She asked as a big smile came upon her face.
"Maybe at the arcade?" He suggested.
"Sure. And don't forget! You promised you would buy me ice cream!" she yelled into the speaker.
"Don't worry I didn't forget..." He replied with a chuckle.
"Hey.." Y/n heard someone say from his room.
It wasn't Nancy or his mother.
"Who is that?" She asked with suspicion.
Then she heard the radio go static.
"Hello?" She waited for anyone to call out but there was no response.
She slowly got up and put the radio on her desk.
Then she walked back to the back and laid down on her back.
A tear slowly rolled down her cheek.
Another followed but from the other side and soon she was sobbing.
Why did he hang up?
Did he not want to talk to her?
She thought. She always over-thought every single thing everyone did.
This is what made her think that she was a loner. A freak with no other friends outside the Party.
Slowly her eyes began to give in and the darkness took her under.

A pair of lanky arms wrap around Y/n's waist pulling her closer to them.
She slowly shuffled around feeling a presence behind her.
As she opened her eyes she saw the raven curls of the one she fell in love with.
He looked up at her with his brown eyes.
"Your mother let me in.." His voice raspy like he had been sleeping there for at least 1 hour.
A warm smile spread across Y/n's face.
She was truly crazy about this boy.
He returned the smile as he slowly leaned in.
A soft pair of lips meet hers as her eyes flutter shut.
A swarm of butterflies flooded her stomach.
She slowly pulled away and opened her eyes.
They were met with a pair of brown ones.
"Y/n... Did you know I'm in love with you?" He confessed.
HE JUST CONFESSED!?
He had a concerned look on his face when she didn't reply.
"Y/n?" He got up gently grabbing her shoulders.
Y/n couldn't hold in her excitement anymore.
She wrapped her arms around his neck pulling her into a hug.
Her head buried in the crook of Mike's neck.
"I love you too" She whispered.
