We are now sitting in the Café with Lee Halmeoni as we wait for the police officers and our relatives to arrive.

"Thank you... Where to go—" I was cut off by Lee Halmeoni as she corrected my pronunciation. She somehow made it her mission to teach us Korean. Since, unfortunately, we will be staying here for who knows how long.

"How come you're always paying for our drinks and pastries? Won't the owner get mad at you?" I asked as she gave us another slice of cheesecake

"Who do you think is the owner?" she said as she looked at me and winked. Which made me form an 'o' with my mouth

"All this time? Wow, I never thought of it." I said as I chuckled a little when she patted my head

We were so focused on learning Korean when the people we were expecting arrived.

"Oh Y/N so good to see you!" Auntie Avery said as she hugged me then greeted my sister and cousin as well

" Uncle Brian! Wow! You lookin' good" my sister teased since he lost weight

" Officer Yang, Officer Nam, good to see you again" Ellie said as she greeted the two officers who went to our room last night

" So, shall we begin?" Officer Nam said as we all sat down

" First, we will be needing your general information. So, please fill this up" Officer Yang started as she gave the three of us papers to fill up

As we were writing, the officers and our aunt and uncle are having a serious talk. Talking about how long this pandemic will take and what possible part-time job we will be applying to etc.

A few minutes later we were done filling up the document and handed it over to Officer Yang.

" Ok, so Brielle Santiago, you are the oldest. Born on August 8, 1999. Ok... still in college... hmm ok good. Next, Andrea Diaz, born on May 23, 2000. Also, in college... hmm good too. Last, Y/N Diaz... born on April 5, 2002... senior high school. Ok... we may have a slight problem." Officer Yang said as she finished scanning our documents

"Problem?" I asked

" Well, you see Y/N, although in other countries you are considered an adult already. Here in Korea, you are still a minor." Officer Nam explained

" You're still 17 turning 18 however you still need a guardian until you reach Korea's legal age which is next year when you're 19 or in Korean age 20." Officer Yang added which earned a confused look on our faces

" Ok... this might be hard to explain. But here in Korea, you add one or two years on your actual age since they consider the whole time you're in your mom's tummy. So, when you are born you are already 1 year old. Get it?" Aunt Avery tried to explain

" Hmm... not getting it but at the same time I do?" Drea said, "But, anyway, will it be a huge problem or not really?" She added

" A little... cause she will need a guardian for her to be able to apply for a part-time job," Officer Nam said

" Then we will be her guardian. Since that was our reason when we fixed our documents before going here" My cousin said as she pointed at her and Drea

"It is possible, do you have the documents now with you?" Officer Nam asked

" Yes, here it is," I said as I took out our folder of documents and handed some of them to them

" Oh... good, you guys have complete documents. You just need to go to the embassy for a working visa since it says here that it's only for travel. " Officer Nam said as he showed us some documents that need to be fixed for us to have a part-time job and be able to rent an apartment
