Chapter 17: Check The Label

I went to the place where Alex asked to go. I was a little nervous about seeing him after what happened the last time. He called just asking if we could meet up today, so I wasn't so sure what we would be talking about.

I arrived first at the restaurant and while waiting for him I was just scrolling to my phone, when a notification from Kbae, a website that has the latest gossip about K-Idols, had an article about Jisung. It piqued my interest and clicked on the notification. As I was scrolling through the whole article, I didn't realize that I was frowning already.

"Oh, what's with the face Y/N?" Alex said as he arrived

"Hey! It's nothing" I said as I turned off my phone and stood up to greet Alex

"So, why did you wanna meet?" I asked as I sat back down

"Oh, It's just—for a week I have been wondering about what you said "meet her again" What do you mean Y/N? I gots to know!" He exclaimed which made me laugh

"See, I told you, you'll move on quicker than you think" I said as I thought about Lami

"Well, I don't know. What did you mean when you said that?" He asked again with a pout on his face and covered his face

"Stop pouting Alex, I mean it like you've met her already and you'll be meeting her again soon—well hopefully... She just has to get movin' fast" I said whispering the latter part

"What was that?" he asked and removed uncover his face

"Oh, nothing. Let's order" I said and called the waiter to order

"Hey, why don't you invite Lami?" I suggested

I'll be the best wingman for these two

"Yeah, that's a great idea. Wait, I'll call her" He said and called Lami

I was just looking at Alex with a smile and noticed how his smile grew bigger when Lami answered his call.

Well, would you look at that... He likes her, he just doesn't realize it.

We do really not realize our feelings for another person immediately don't we? I realized my feelings for Jisung earlier than I expected and I just continued to fall for him more. But this week kinda punched me in the gut a little because he was avoiding me the whole time. But still, chance or no chance with Jisung, I guess I have to tell him eventually. But then again, I guess I won't now. Which made me think back about the article I read about Jisung.

It was an article about how Jisung and a certain K-Idol from a well known group was rumored to be dating. Yeah, it wasn't great news considering it's about the guy I like. But who am I to be jealous when we don't even have a label

Check the label sister!

A lot of things already went to mind and along those thoughts are insecurities. I mean, what do I expect? Jisung will never notice me, heck he probably sees me as a sister or best friend. I'm not like that super pretty and famous K-idol. I'm just a regular girl with a regular life.

Jisung and I live in two different worlds. He lives in a world where everyone's eyes are on him and I live in a world where I admire people like him being his fan and everything. Reality check! Our worlds don't align, and it never will. So, I'll just continue being his fan. It wouldn't hurt right?

I was so up in my own world that I didn't realize that Alex has been calling me

"Hey! Y/N! What is up with you? Are you really ok?" Alex said as he was shaking me to call my attention which worked cause it snapped me back to reality
