I ran, I actually ran to get a cab the moment she cut the call. It is one of those cases where I am actually scared and I don't get scared easily. Jen.. was my first client, someone who put faith in me at the beginning of my career. She means a lot to me, and her recovery meant a lot to both of us, it took us through a rollercoaster of emotions getting there, and somewhere we became friends, which isn't suppose to happen by the book. You can't be friends with someone you are being a therapist to, at least that's what they teach in college because just like other jobs they say to not mix personal life and job. In this case, they say it to prevent from happening things like not taking each other seriously.
