Part 9: Sweet as MMs
“Ms Beckett and Mr Styles hand over your project” Mrs Andrews barked giving Ash and I a smile that made her face look creepier than it already was.
Wait... did I just give Ashton a nickname?
What the hell is happening to me!?
“There you go” Ash sai- Ashton said, handing over the project.
“Let’s see what you have here...” She said, looking at the project as if it were a peculiar insect. “... C!” she said.
My jaw dropped. How could we get a C!? I looked at Ashton; his reaction was the same, pure shock.
“How C? We worked our ass- I mean, we worked very hard for this project, Mrs. Andrews.” I said
“This is for cursing in my class. You both deserve even lower grades.” She replied, clearly enjoying herself.
“But we already suffered a week’s detention for it” Ashton said gritting his teeth.
“No more arguing!” she said
“But-“ I started
“Do you both want an F?” She said she said glaring at us.
We both quickly took our seat. I snickered hearing Ashton mutter under his breath “B*tch”
“Ms. Watson and Mr. Black” She called
Austin took out their project; they walked over to Mrs Andrews and handed it to her. She turned its pages a few times before she said “B!”
Jade was clearly disappointed. Austin looked at her sad expression and nudged her softly. He mouthed ‘It’s okay’ and smiled at her. Jade smiled back weakly.
“Thank you Mrs. Andrews” he said before the turned to go back to their seat. As they turned, Mrs Andrews said “Plus.”
“What?” They said, confused.
“You get a B+” she said.
Jade’s smile broadened. Austin gave her a side hug. “Thank you Mrs Andrews.” She said.
So Mrs Andrews does have some feelings after all.
Couldn’t she show some for us!? Jerk!
“Ms. Sweet and Mr Scott” she called next.
I turned to Molly and gave her quick thumbs up. She gave me a weak smile and stood up from her seat, clutching her project in front her with both her hands. She walked to Mrs. Andrews, alone? I looked for Mason, he wasn’t in the class.
“Where is Mr Scott?” Mrs Andrews asked
“He umm...” Molly was cut off as the door cracked open. All eyes turned to the door. Mason was standing there.
“Sorry I’m late” he said as he walked in casually, hardly bothering to sound sorry.
“Don’t bother Mr Scott. You may very well spend the rest of lesson outside.” Mrs Andrews said, glaring at Mason. Ignoring her, Mason went and stood next her.
“Here’s our project Mrs Andrews.” Molly said quickly changing the topic.
“Thank you sweetie” She said. Of course Molly was her favourite. She hardly looked at the project and said “An A, as usual, even though Mr. Scott doesn’t deserve it.” Molly and Mason took their seat.
“Now class, soon your summer break is starting, so you will be given your holiday homework tomorrow.” Mrs Andrews said before dismissing the class.
