Uh.....Fire

It's been a couple of days, and none of the avengers had seen the kid or Wanda for more than a minute.

They were all in the kitchen, spread out sitting at the island, or just some random chairs around a few tables, and they were wondering what they should do.

"Can't we just, I don't know, go find Wanda and ask how the kid is doing. Or what exactly they are doing?" Rhodey asked. He was very curious about the kid, and Wanda hardly talked to them about her. When they did see her, she was grabbing food, or some weird thing. The last time they saw her, she had rushed into the kitchen and yelled about how she needed a spatula, two cans of beans, and a knife. No one dared to ask her why.

"Yeah, that's a great idea! If only we knew where they were!" Bucky said sarcastically. He could be a real bitch, but we still stan a king.

There were many, many rooms in the helicarrier, but Wanda never told them which room they were in. She left with the kid the moment she said she would train her first, and during the times they saw her, she didn't say anything about her and the kid's location. And looking for them was pointless.

"We could ask Fury to make Wanda bring the kid out and say what they've been doing. Or what progress they've made." Vision suggested.

The avengers thought about that for a moment.

"Yeah, but who would want to purposefully contact Mr. I could kill you if I really wanted t-"Tony was cut short by the sound of hurried feet.

They all looked up to see the kid herself slide into the kitchen. She wasn't wearing shoes, and socks on concrete is slippery.

She had an 'I fucked up' expression, and she looked panicked.

The avengers saw this, and tensed up, Vision especially. If she hurt Wanda...

"I need a fire extinguisher." she rushed out.

The avengers tensed even more, and a few of them shot straight up.

Nova saw this, and she put her hands up in a let me explain gesture. She had wide eyes and was slightly sweating.

"Wanda and I were working on my being able to lift things with my mind and I was lifting a can of beans and i wondered what it would be like if it were to be cooked all the way and whether it would be heavier or lighter and as it was just above me head, it caught on fireee." she said in a rushed exasperated way. "And that's probably because of the reality stone but I don't know and anyways Wanda is trying to control the fire but it's not going so well and we tried to put it out but that just made it worse."

The avengers just stared at her.

"NOVAAAAA!!!!!!"

The avengers all heard Wanda scream the kids name.

The kid, kind of deflated a little, and looked at the avengers with a 'I'm probably gonna die by Wanda's hands so if you could just give me a fire extinguisher that would be great' face.

Without saying anything, Rhodey  reached behind himself and pulled out a fire extinguisher from the fridge. Don't ask.

He kind of threw it at Nova and she kind of caught it with her face.

She said thank you, and then offhandedly mentioned that her name was Nova, and then she bolted.

Bucky, having faster reflexes than most, got up and ran straight after her. Steve saw this, and ran after him.

"Ah hell no! If their doing a sneaky link I swear to god..." Sam said as he also ran after them.

The rest of the avengers got up and ran after them.
