They had searched the ship for twenty minutes, only to find Nova floating in a pool with Greg in the middle of the flippin ship.
She was just calmly in the water floating. The giant turtle right next to her looked like he was keeping her afloat by his fins.
"Nova?" Wanda cautiously asked.
She had told everyone to wait outside of the room, and she walked in alone. She was kneeling by the edge of the pool, staring at Nova, who was so still it almost looked like she wasn't breathing. And then Greg took his fin away from Nova, and she sunk quickly to the bottom like a brick.
"Nova!" Wanda screamed. She dove into the water and kicked and flailed her arms, struggling to get to Nova who was laying on the bottom of the pool. But here's the thing, Wanda can't swim. She kicked more and sunk to where Nova was, only to choke on the water and sting her eyes. Bubbles floated up in front of her face, and when they disappeared, she saw the giant turtle right in front of her. The turtle tilted its head at Wanda. They stared at each other for what seemed like a minute. Then, it looked down and tapped one of its fins to Nova's forehead.
Nova's eyes shot open and she whipped her head around to look at Wanda. Wanda had forgotten how to breath. She was just watching the turtle in amazement. Something about it, was weird. But in a good way. It was almost like the turtle had her in a trance, a trance that made her not need to breath. A trance that made her able to stay at the bottom of the pool, just staring into its eyes.
Nova frantically grabbed at Wanda, and pushed her legs off of the deep end and shot up towards the surface of the pool.
They broke through the surface and both started to cough and and splash water around. Nova was able to swim to a side of the pool with Wanda in tow. And that's when Vision showed up.
"Wanda, darling, you've been in here for quite some time. Are you alrig-" His sentence was stopped by the sight of Nova clinging onto one of the pools walls, one arm around Wanda, who was coughing and holding tightly onto Nova.
He rushed over to them and pulled Nova and Wanda up and out of the pool. They both lay there, coughing and drenched. Nova sat straight up and glared at Wanda.
"What the hell!" she yelled.
Wanda coughed before propping herself up and staring at Nova as if she were crazy.
"We'll do you mean, what the hell?! I saw you drop like dead weight to the bottom of the pool, and I jumped in to save you! You don't know how to swim!" Wanda yelled back. What the fuck?!
Nova ran a hand through her non existent hair.
"I know how to do a lot of things that you don't know of Wanda. And I wasn't drowning. I knew exactly what was going on." Nova retorted.
Wanda just stared at Nova. What the hell was wrong with her?! She would have drowned if Wanda hadn't saved her! Would she of?
Before Wanda could say anything more, Vision cut in. Again. Seriously though, what the hell is with this dude.
"You jumped in after her?! You can't swim! And I don't believe that you were both clinging to that wall for very long. It is been about ten minutes since you went into this room Wanda! How long were you at the bottom of the pool for?" he asked.
Wanda stared at him in shocked fear. She had taken one minute to walk into the room, see Nova sink, and jump in after her. How long had she been in the pool for? How long had Nova? Because she knew that Vision had just gotten into the room when Nova had barely shot up towards the surface of the pool.
"We were down there for eight or nine minutes, it doesn't really matter. Greg was kind of teaching me how to swim and I guess he helped you a little." Nova said. She had stood up and was shaking out her soaked clothes. Her eyes were narrowed and she didn't look too happy.
"You interrupted us and now we can't get back into the headspace that we had. So I'm leaving." She stormed out of the room and Wanda and Vision hurried after her.
"You can't leave!" Wanda shouted. "We have things to talk about!"
"No, we don't." Nova said. She was standing in front of Wanda and Vision, who were in front of all of the avengers. She had her arms crossed and she looked really pissed with her narrow eyes.
"We," Wanda gestures to everyone. "Are sorry that we didn't think about your feelings before shoving you into the flying lesson. We are all very sorry and just wish that we could move on and teach you more things."
Nova moved her arms so that they could hang at her sides.
"Oh don't turn this into a goddamn angst thing. We're not that far into the book yet." Nova said.
"Wha-"
"Nevermind. You're thinking about this way too hard. You're all fine. But I'm not gonna try flying for a while." Nova said.
Wanda looked relieved and all of the tension that everyone else felt was gone.
"Hey. You have a shard of metal sticking out of your arm." Sam pointed at Nova.
She looked down and at the metal, and just shrugged.
"That's been there for awhile. I'm just walking it off. Anyways, we should focus on something else." Nova just brushed the metal aside as if it were nothing. She grinned devilishly at everyone.
"What do we need to focus on?" Steve asked wearily. Poor old dude.
"Battle plans!"

Alright folks, announcement time. I need someone to draw Nova just so I can see how you see her. And don't be afraid to draw the others or Greg. I will give spoilers about the book and upcoming ideas to the people that draw her. I will pm them, of course. And sorry that this is so short. Upcoming chapters will be longer. Have fun!
