I quickly make my way back to the shelter, after my run-in with the vamp. On my way there, my mind is flooded with possible outcomes, from this encounter. I don't even know, if I should let Square know, what just happened. How would he take the news of me being threatened? Heck, he was threatened too. Maybe I should keep this to myself. I don't want to cause any problems between friends. Liz told me Square and Edison were close. It's not their fault some Vamp had his panties in a bunch. Now that I think about it, he just might not like werewolves. Maybe this is why the a-hole vamp reacted the way he did to me. Either way, there's no way I'm letting him run me off. It's official, I need to train with Square, so my magic can get stronger.

When I'm about halfway to the shelter, I have this strange feeling someone's watching me. I slow my pace, to take in my surroundings. I don't see anything that's off, so I continue walking. Before I can even take another step.

"Hello beautiful." I turned back around, to see Jamie standing in front of me.

"Holy shit! Where did you come from?" I yell out, grabbing my chest. Some amazing warrior skills you got there Ari. I take a deep breath, looking around to see if anyone else saw me lose my shit just now.

"I saw you by yourself and I figured this would be the perfect time to talk to you. I wanted to see if you might want to hang out sometime?" Jamie asks

"That sounds like fun." I reply. Normally I would just shut down any invitation to do anything. I've been closed off for so long, maybe it's time to open back up and make friends. Since I'm staying here for a while and we're both going to be at the shelter together, I don't see why we can't start a friendship. I can tell his wolf is lonely and He seems kinda nice.

"Really? You have no idea how happy that makes me. What kind of things are you into?"

"I love playing baseball and soccer...I'm not really into a lot of different things. I guess you can say I'm boring."

"I doubt there's anything a person can say, that's boring about you." Jamie says with a smile. If you're not busy tonight maybe we could go on a date?"

Date? Well crap, I don't want to come off as rude but I also don't want to give him any false hope either. I need to establish that nothing can come this.

Maybe I'm reading too much into this, maybe it was just poor choice in words. I was about to ask to clarify but Square's voice interrupts. "She's busy for the foreseeable future."

I look over Jamie's shoulder to see Square walking by him. He stops by my side, pulling me to his chest.

"Really Square? How would you know? Marie already agreed to hang out with me." Jamie states

Square turns his head towards me, looking down. "You agreed to go out on a date with him?" He actually looks hurt, asking me the question.

Shaking my head "No, I said I wouldn't mind hanging out. I never said anything about dating him." I reply

"You say it like it's a bad thing." Jamie states

"I'm not saying it's a bad thing. I am saying, I never agreed to date you." I reply

"Then that's settled." Square states, pulling me away.

"Wait a minute." Jamie calls out, making us stop "Square, why are you doing this? You know wolves should be together, why are you coming between us? When all of the sudden you start liking girls?"

"I'm not all of the sudden liking girls, I'm liking Marie." Square pulls me closer. "The only thing I'm doing, is making sure you're not wasting your time... And if wolves are supposed to be together, why don't you go find a pack." With that, Square turns to walk off pulling me with him.
