Delaney
"So how did that feel?" Mason asked as we unlaced our skates before taking them off. "To be honest with you, it felt good to get back out on the ice." I reply. We had spent an entire hour out on the ice skating around and shooting pucks, just the two of us. "Good." Mason replies. "Now let's get out of here." He adds as he picks up his gym bag and stick before I follow him out of the arena and to the truck.
When we got to the truck, we put our bags in the back before hopping in. After I had buckled myself into the passenger's seat, I took my phone out of my pocket and saw I had 3 misread text messages waiting to be answered. One was from Chris saying he was stopping in to visit with his dad at the fire hall and the other two were from Jason.
"Hey Jace wants to know if you wanted anything from Tim's. He's stopping there before he comes over to hang." I say looking over at my brother. "He doesn't have to bring me anything. I'm good." He replies. "You know he's still gonna do it right?" I say while answering Jason's text to tell him we were headed back home now. "I know" Mason replies.

"I'm going to have a shower." Mason said once we got home. "Alright, I'll be out here on FaceTime with Matt." I reply. "Tell the kid I say hi and that we're gonna kick his butt next week!" Mason says walking down the hall to his room. "I'll see what I can do!" I reply sitting down on the couch and tapping on Matt's contact.
I wait a couple minutes as his FaceTime rings and when his face pops up, I smile. "Hey look who it is! How's it going Delsey?" Matt exclaims with a smile on his face. "Hi Matts, it's going good! I got the all clear yesterday so now I'm back on the ice practicing. How are things with you?" I ask. "That's awesome news sis! Not much exciting out here, I mean I play against Mace next week and we're totally going to kick his ass!" Matt shouts hoping Mason was around to hear him. I lean my head back a bit before shaking my head laughing. "That's funny cause he told me that he was going to kick your ass next week." I reply. "Oh I don't think so bud! Where is he anyways?" Matt asks. "We just got back from the rink and now he's having a shower." I reply.
As Matt continues our conversation, I hear a knock at the door. "Hold on Matt, I've got to get the door." I say getting up off the couch and going over to the door. I look through the peep hole and see Jason standing there with a Tim Hortons tray in his hand.
I unlock the door and let him in as I greet him. "Who's that at the door?" Matt asks. "It's my best friend." I reply. "Yeah, it's me buddy." Jason says popping his face into the frame. "Hi Jason!" Matt says on the other side of the screen.
"Look Matts, I've gotta go now. Talk to you later okay? Bye!" I say waving at him. "Alright, bye Delsey." He replies before hanging up. I put my phone down on the coffee table as Jason hands me an ice cap before sitting down next to me. "Thanks for the drink Jace." I smile. "Anytime Dels." He says.
"Oh hey Jace." Mason says appearing in the room. "Hey man." Jason replies. "Thanks for the coffee bro." Mason says grabbing the cup off the island and coming to join us in the living room.
"So where's Chris? I thought he would have come to see you the second we landed." Jason said. "He stopped in at the fire hall to visit with his dad." I replied before bringing the drink to my lips to take a sip. "Also, I don't think I told you guys this yet but Chris asked me to move in with him." I say before the room falls silent.
"Really?" Jason asked. "Yeah and I told him my answer was yes. I move in on Sunday." I reply. "That's awesome but now who am I going to bug every morning?" Mason asked with a pouting lip. "Mace, I'm only moving two doors down the hall. I'm not going that far!" I reply. "I know, I'm just playing with you!" He replies.

"It's great to have you back out there!" Coach says to me after practice the next day. "Thanks coach! Feels good to be back!" I reply with a smile. "Think you'll be ready to hop into the game on Tuesday?" He asked. "I'm think I might wait until the second round. It gives me more time to rest up and gain my strength back." I reply as Mike nods. "Alright, you let me know when and I'll add you back into the active roster." He says."Hey coach! Hey Dels, you ready to go?" Chris asks me appearing from the dressing room. "Yeah, I'm ready." I reply before the two of us say bye to mike and make our way outside to the car.
"Raining again! Are you kidding me?!?" I exclaim throwing my hood over my head. "Race you to the car?" Chris asks with a cheeky smile on his face. "You're on lover boy!" I smile before taking off to where he parked the car.
"Ha! I win!" I shout sticking my tongue out at him. "You may have won but I've got the keys." He replies going over to the drivers side and getting in. I pull on the handle to open my door but to my dismay, Chris thinks it's funny and locks me out.
"Christopher Santiago... Open this door right now!" I shout banging my hand on the window as he sits there in the car laughing. "Chris come on, this isn't funny! I'm cold and soaked!" I pour crossing my arms over my chest. "What's the magic word?" He asked rolling the window down just a crack. "Please Chris, just open the door!" I plea as he waits a brief moment before unlocking the door allowing me to get in where it's dry.
"You're welcome babe." He smirks. I glare at him before I reply. "Can we just go now, I'm freezing." I say. Chris places his one hand on my thigh and smiles. "Let's go get you moved into my place." He says as a small closed mouth smile finds its way to my lips. "After I have a nice hot shower and change into dry clothes." I reply.

"And we are done!" I sigh a few hours later as I plop myself down on the couch next to Chris who puts his arm around me. He places a kiss on the top of my head as he runs his hand gently up and down my arm. "Welcome home my love." He says softly as a smile tugs at the corner of my lips.
"Thanks bubs but you know, there's one thing missing..." I say looking up at him. "What's that?" He asked. "Food because I'm kinda hungry." I reply. "Well what do you want to eat? I was thinking maybe we could order take out?" Chris asks as he shifts a bit in his spot.
"Well I'm kinda craving Chinese food right now." I reply. "Then Chinese food it is." He says getting you off the couch to grab his laptop from the kitchen table. "Dinner for 2?" He asked. "Yeah, that usually does it when Mace and I order." I reply.

After we finished cleaning up from dinner, we picked a movie to watch before turning off the light and grabbing a blanket to throw over us while we cuddled.
"Okay, I think we're all set." I say wrapping my arms around Chris as we get comfy on the couch. "We're watching Spider-Man right?" He asked. "Yeah, that's the one we picked out." I reply as he pressed play.
He put the remote down on the coffee table and placed both arms around me, hugging me closer to him as I nuzzled my face in the crook of his neck. "I love you Chris." I whispered. "I love you too bubs." He whispers back in reply as the movie began to play.
