["im not, really," he fakes a laugh. "Im just embarrassed," Jungkook replies, stirring his smoothie to avoid eye contact. He finds it difficult to look for appropriate ways to react. He doesn't want you to develop wrong ideas about him. His mind analyses every word he says which is why he ends up overthinking every decision. He feels imprisoned by his thoughts. It's hard for him to let his guard down and just enjoy the time with you.
You politely excuse yourself to touch your phone again. You skim through your gallery and after some seconds when you find the picture you were looking for, you place your phone on the table for Jungkook to see. "now we even?" You ask after showing him your dark past, a picture from the time before puberty hit you. "You can't un-embarrass yourself. Undoing is impossible," you say and lock your phone so he can stop staring at your embarrassing picture, "but doing isn't," you add.
The gesture made jungkook feel like a kdrama protagonist. He could notice himself fall all over again. Are you genuinely that kind or is he special? His mind asked and chose the latter. He couldn't help but smile while the butterflies in his tummy danced to the beat of his heart.
Positivity neutralizes jungkook's head as he hopes again. Whatever happens, happens for good, He tells himself.
"You look the same," he mumbles.
"What?" You question in denial.
"You look the same," he enunciates with an intention to compliment you but you have a different definition of what beauty is which is why you pass a dry chuckle.
"No," you utter.
"You kinda do"
"I look nothing like that ugly piece of crap."
"No, not ugly," he sits up straight as his brows rise and his innocent eyes widen in concern, "I meant you look cute," he blurts out to clear the misinterpretation.
Only if you could see yourself through his eyes.]
