Clark's POV

I think it would be best to start off by saying I'm different. Now I know what you're saying that all kids go through that faze. But trust me when I say that I really am different. My name is Clark Kent and I have superpowers.
Now you're probably say that having superpowers is amazing and you wish that you did too. It would be cool if it wasn't for the fact that it is dangerous. I'm constantly worrying about loosing control and hurting someone. There is also the fact that I need to keep my powers s security. This intern lead to having to avoid doing things that other kids do. Because of that I kind of became the class looser.
Now don't get the wrong idea because I'm not trying to complain about my life. In fact I have a nice life with a family that loves me. They taught me right from wrong, to be kind to everyone and to always offer a helping hand to those that are in need.
What's hard though is keeping my powers hidden while I'm offering that helping hand. I haven't been caught using them yet. But who knows how long that will last. Most people would say that the obvious solution would be to not help people but that just doesn't set well with me. Maybe it's from my upbringing but I just feel obligated to help.
I shouldn't have to worry about any of that stuff right now though. I'm currently on a school trip to Washington with the rest of my class from Smallville high school. Hopefully on this trip I will be able to step away from my hero duties and just be a regular kid for the week.

Nobody's POV

Eventually the bus from Smallville high school arrived at the hotel that they would be staying at during there trip. The students however didn't have time time rest after the long drive. After dropping there stuff off in the rooms they all got back onto the bus. The teacher then stood up in front of all the students.

Teacher: ok class we are going are first stop in Washington will be the Smithsonian. I hope you all have a pencil and paper because I expect you to take notes.

Hearing that the class looked upset. None of them thought they would have to take notes on there trip. None of them except Clark however. As apart of the Smallville Torch, the school newspaper, Clark was always ready to take notes. As he was making sure he had all of his stuff Clark was dumped from behind. Turning Clark saw that it was one of the of the guys from the football team named Bash Bradford.

Bash: I bet you're prepared to take notes aren't you looser?

Clark: w-well actually I am.

Bash: I knew it! Once a nerd always a nerd!

Hearing that all the students on the bus began to laugh at Clark. Most teens in this situation might of stood up and decked Bash for making fun of them but Clark wasn't most kids. Unlike most people Clark learned the value of self control early on.

Clark mind: they wouldn't laugh at me if they knew what I could really do but using my powers for petty stuff like that would be wrong.

Bash: what, got nothing to say Clark?

Clark just turned away from Bash and tried to look as nervous as he could. Even though he wasn't nervous at all.

Clark: n-no, no I don't.

Bash only laughed more at this.

Bash: I'm not surprised you timid looser.

Before anything else could happen the teacher stepped in and put a stop to things. After that all the kids talked amongst there selves during the bus ride. Since Clark didn't have any friends he just looked at the window the whole time.
The ride from the hotel to the Smithsonian took very little time. Before any of the kids realized it they were there. Once arriving they all got off of the bus in front of the famous museum. The teacher then began to lead them all inside to meet up with the worker who would be taking them on the tour.
As Clark went inside the building he was amazed. The place was amazing and he couldn't help but to look around. However as he was looking around Joe stuck his foot out in front of him. Clark saw this but knew he had to keep up his act. So reluctantly Clark aloud himself to be tripped.

Joe: you should be careful next time Clark.

All of the students laughed as they walked away leaving Clark on the ground picking up his stuff. He grabbed his notepad first but as he reached for his pencil that had rolled away he noticed someone bend down to grab it for him. Looking up to see who it was Clark saw that it was a girl. She had short black, messy hair, blue eyes and wore what looked like punk rock clothes. Not that Clark knew if it actually was or not.

???: hear you go.

Clark then quickly got up off of the ground and took his pencil back from the girl.

Clark: t-thank you.

???: it's no problem but you should really learn stick up for yourself......

Clark then noticed that the girl was waiting for his name.

Clark: oh uh Clark.

He then shout out his hand to the girl to shack it. She then took it while amused by his timidness.

Thalia: Thalia. And like I was saying you should stand up for yourself Clark.

Clark: I can't do that.

Thalia: suite yourself but the bullying will only continue. Well I got to go see ya.

Clark: bye.

The girl known as Thalia then walked away leaving Clark all alone.

Clark: believe me Thalia it's for the best that I don't do anything, even if I want to.

With that Clark quickly ran to catch back up with the rest of his class. Luckily for him they weren't that far away. As he was running back to his class though he couldn't help but think about Thalia.

Clark mind: pretty and nice, not many like her out there.

And with that I'm done with the first chapter of this new story. The reason for this story is that I wanted to write something that wasn't mha. Plus I heard that it is hard to write a good Superman story and thought it would be a fun challenge to try. Now the chapters for this story are going to be relatively short as I will be writing them in my free time.

Now I have a question for you the reader on what route this story takes.

1- the story goes the route of Clark secretly helping the group with his powers while contemplating revealing to them that he is Superboy.

Or

2- much like the first choice except Clark isn't Superboy and instead contemplates on weather to reveal to the group that he has powers.

Those are the choices so please vote and tell me which one you would rather read.
