Warning: Some rather descriptive pain in this chapter. For those who do not have the emotional capacity for that, do skip the *** parts.

"Ri Jeong Hyeok...No!" Seri gasped as she tried to steady him.
The searing pain in her side from landing on her ribs was nothing like the pain in her heart when she saw the dagger pierced solidly into his left shoulder.
He pushed her away. He didn't have to but he protected her and saved her just like he always did.
Except this time, he got hurt. Grievously so.
Having elbowed his attacker with his uninjured arm, the assailant was now lying a few feet away from them, giving them the precious few seconds to recover from the fight and from their shock.
Leaning heavily against Seri, Ri Jeong Hyeok could barely see past the dots dancing in his vision as he breathed. His left arm felt heavy from the pain shooting down from his shoulder, leaving the tips of his fingers with an odd tingling sensation.
Ri Jeong Hyeok was used to pain but it still took all his willpower to stay awake as he eyed the assailant frostily.
Lips pale and with hands trembling slightly, Ri Jeong Hyeok hissed in pain as he lifted his sword to shield them from yet another attack from the assailant. Mustering the rest of his strength, Ri Jeong Hyeok stood up and staggered forward, his sword heavier now in his weakness.
He had to protect Seri. He couldn't pass out now when she was still in danger. He had to see this through.
His attacks were sloppier than usual but there was no stripping away the power it held, for he was channelling everything within him to eliminate the threat to Seri.
Clang!
WHOOSH!
Metal met metal over and over again, accompanied by the soft whistling of blades whooshing through the air. He was getting weaker with every passing second but Ri Jeong Hyeok was determined.
Every single time the assailant came close to striking Ri Jeong Hyeok, Seri would clench her eyes shut. She couldn't bear to see Ri Jeong Hyeok get hurt again.
Flinching every time the weapons would clash against one another, Seri has never felt as helpless as she was now, simply watching her prince wield his lethal sword. Worry ate at her as Ri Jeong Hyeok stiffly battled it out with the assailant, being careful not to move his left arm.
Behind them, the rest of the boys were finishing off the rest of their attackers while the battle continued on between Ri Jeong Hyeok and Seri's assailant.
It was clear who was winning.
Armed with one dagger, the assailant was no match for the likes of the Night Prince as he expertly disarmed him seconds later. The tables have turned and now, all Ri Jeong Hyeok had to do was finish him off.
The familiar coldness was back in his eyes as he stared down at the assailant who was gawking up at him in fear. Ri Jeong Hyeok was familiar with the scene before him. He could still hear the desperate pleas of the people he killed echoing as whispers of the ghostly past.
They would beg, in their final moments, knowing if they didn't, he would send them straight to hell.
Desperately, they would plead to be spared, promising to become saints as though their sinful nature would allow them to. It was ridiculous at times but Ri Jeong Hyeok knew they would do anything if it meant they could live.
