Hello lovelies! We have come to the end of another journey!
To be very honest, I didn't think I would ever make it. At some point, I strongly contemplated deleting this fic because I got pretty stuck writing this halfway.
As some of you might know, this fic started as a one-shot which I continued for SuitFit Cupid since a lot of you wanted a continuation. Perhaps that was why it was difficult to figure the plot out since it was originally meant to be a one-off thing. Nevertheless, I don't regret writing this fic and I am absolutely delighted that I managed to finish another oldie fic of mine!
This journey has been crazy at times. I was writing in a fictitious era that was very similar to Beauty and the Beast and a lot of times, I had to research about the weapons they used and their way of living. It was also surprisingly difficult to write the fight scenes and their speeches. I don't think I have ever been this careful over my choice of words especially when it came to our dear Night Prince's dialogues. Still, I had fun and it was a nice escape from reality at times. I hope it was the same for you and that I somehow managed to capture the beauty I wanted to convey through our royal couple.
Lastly, I do apologise for taking this long to see Night Prince to completion. It rarely ever takes me more than a few months to finish a fic especially one that doesn't require super long chapters. At some point, I simply lost motivation and had too much going in my life to sit down to mull over it. I am simply grateful to those who are still here and who didn't give up on NP despite the lack of updates + those who sent me encouraging messages along to way. I hope you know that the subsequent chapters are all written and dedicated to you guys.
At the end of the day, Night Prince was meant to be a simple fairytale. The plot was meant to be simple albeit mysterious and the message behind the story was simple as well. I will leave you all to grasp that fundamental message in NP just like how you usually do for all my other fics.
To readers old and new, I can't thank you all enough for the love I have received not just in NP but across all my fics. As the year is coming to an end really soon, I hope that you would all stay safe and remember to breathe! Hugs to everyone!
