CHAPTER TWO

3rd of July 2020, 2:30pm

Tenerife, Spain

Elizabeth's POV

Evelyn has just woken up from her nap, she is still trying to wake up but is almost awake, Rose and Scarlett have just gotten back from the water and are now eating ice-cream.

"Evelyn baby, do you want to have some ice-cream?"I ask her, she tiredly nods and I sit her up and hand her the ice-cream. She takes it and starts to eat it but it is melting all over her hands and going all over her face causing me to giggle.

"Well Lizzie I think that we have an ice-cream monster on our hands"Scarlett says making us both laugh, Evelyn just continues to eat her ice-cream and then gives me the cone because she doesn't like them.

I wipe her face and then she looks at me with pleading eyes.

"Ocean!"She says happy that she can go because I told her she could earlier, I pick her up and go down to the ocean with her.

I walk into the ocean and hold her in my arms letting her feet and legs dip in, she squeals at the warm feeling and continues to laugh while we play in the water.

"Ok girls it is time to get ready to go home because it is getting late"Scarlett calls out to us, we come back in from the water and I get me and Evelyn dried and changed before giving her, her pacifier and getting into the car.

The two little girls are soon to fall asleep in the car so I reckon that they will be absolutely exhausted when it comes to bed time because I know they will be playing later anyway.

I get a sleeping Evelyn out of the car and bring her into the house along with our beach bag. Scarlett follows behind locking the car and closing the door behind her.

"Right how about we put these in the living room and put on a movie for them to watch when they wake up after we get them changed and then we can start on the dinner?"I suggest to Scarlett, she agrees and we both go upstairs and get the girls changed before bringing them back downstairs and laying them on the couch with blankets over them while we put on 'The Little Mermaid'.

Me and Scarlett start the dinner, we are making lasagna so it is quite easy because we have made it a lot.

We are just dishing up the dinner when we hear little footsteps coming in, we look to see a sleepy Rose coming holding a sleepy Evelyn's hand while Evelyn is carrying her blanket in her other hand, we both smile at the girls and they both sit down at the table ready for dinner.

"Ok here you two are"I say placing their plates in front of them, they start to eat but very slowly because of them being tired, me and Scarlett are finished before them so we just chat and wait for the girls to finish.

I clean the plates and table while Scarlett brings the two girls into the living room to watch some more movies before bed, they continue watching 'The Little Mermaid' but soon fall asleep.

Me and Scarlett bring them upstairs and put them into their beds before going back downstairs and pouring ourselves some wine and watching TV before bed.
