CHAPTER SEVEN

Elizabeth's POV

At the end of month Evelyn is starting preschool so we have to go shopping for supplies and food for her.

"Evelyn come on we have to go!"I shout up the stairs to my daughter who is grabbing her pacifier from her bedroom.

Evelyn comes running downstairs and jumps into my arms causing me to laugh.

"Woah there little missy!"I say laughing while walking out of the house with Evelyn in my arms.

I lock the door and make my way to the car.

I put Evelyn in her car seat and get into the front to start driving to target.

"Honey we're here"I say looking back at Evelyn who is sitting in her car seat looking out her window while suckling her pacifier.

I get out of the the car and get Evelyn out as well, I put her on the ground and hold her hand as we walk through the car park to target.

"Ok honey I want you to pick out a backpack"I tell Evelyn once we reach the backpack isle.

Evelyn runs off to a pink paw patrol bag and points to it looking at me smiling from behind her pacifier.

I grab the bag from the shelf and put it in the cart, Evelyn then goes to pick out a pencil case for all her colours and stationary.

"Mama this one!"she says happily pointing at a purple pencil case with paw patrol on it, I swear that kid loves that show.

I pick it up and put it in the cart, Evelyn starts to get tired so I put her in the kids seat in the cart.

She picks out some colouring pencils and markers along with regular pencils, erasers and a ruler.

We roam around the shop a little more and get her a lunch bag and some copy books for her writing and drawing before going to get some treats since she has been so good.

"Ok baby pick out some treats and we will have them after dinner tonight"I say picking her up and out of the seat and onto the floor.

She runs off to some sour patch kids and some lollies, she runs back to me and hands me them so I take them and put them in the cart before putting Evelyn back into her seat and walking off to the till.

I pay for everything and bring it back to the car and load it into the trunk with some help from Evelyn, I bring the cart back with Evelyn on my hip.

I get into the car after buckling Evelyn in and making sure everything is strapped securely before starting the car and driving home.

"Evelyn do you want to stop off at McDonalds?"I ask Evelyn and I hear a little yes from behind me.

I drive through the drive thru and order Evelyn a chicken nugget happy meal and a fruit shoot while I get a Big Mac with a Coke Zero.

We eat in the car before I drive home and get a tired Evelyn out of the car, she lays her head on my shoulder half asleep.

We walking into the house and I see Robbie sat on the couch watching some television, I walk over to him and sit beside him, he puts his arm around my shoulders pulling me in closer to him.

"How was your day baby?"Robbie asked looking down to me, I smile up to him.

"It was fun but Evelyn is exhausted from the long day out"I say stroking my babies hair out of her face just to see her fast asleep on my shoulder.

"How about you bring her up to bed and I'll start on the dinner for the two of us?"Robbie suggest quietly, I nod and bring Evelyn up to her bedroom.

I change her into her pjs and lay her down in her bed before kissing her head and tucking her into her bed.

I walk downstairs to eat dinner with Robbie before heading to bed myself since I was also very tired after a long day of shopping.
