CHAPTER NINE

Elizabeth's POV

I walk into Evelyn's room and see her fast asleep cuddles into her blanket and buried under all her blankets and her duvet.

I smile and walk over to her, I kneel down beside her bed to make it easier for me to wake her up.

"Evelyn baby it's time to wake up"I say in a quiet voice, Evelyn's eyes flutter open slowly and look at me, she whines and grabs my arm.

I know exactly what she wants so I pick her up and cradle her like a little baby, she pushes her head into my chest she does this when she is really tired or just wants me.

I cradle her for another couple of minutes before balancing her on my hip so I can bring her downstairs for breakfast.

I make her a bottle of milk and some cereal for her breakfast because I know she loves to have a bottle on an early morning.

She slowly eats her cereal and drinks her bottle while sat on my lap, I just talk with Robbie while we are eating our breakfast since he has to go to work in an hour.

"She doesn't look good does she?"Robbie says smiling at Evelyn sympathetically, I look down to Evelyn and move her messy bed head out of her face to see her little tired face.

"No she really doesn't look good"I say rubbing Evelyn's back to maybe wake her up a little bit more.

She just continues to eat her breakfast slowly and soon finishes her cereal and leans back into me while suckling on her bottle.

"Baby you feeling ok?"I ask Evelyn picking her up to straddle me so she can be a little bit more comfy, she shakes her head no and I just push her head into my chest.

"It's ok baby, you're just very tired, you're not used to early mornings are you?"I ask rhetorically and just hug her until she is finished her bottle.

Robbie cleans the dishes while I go and get Evelyn ready.

I dress Evelyn into a pair of black leggings, a pink top with a rainbow on it, a pink glittery tutu and some pink trainers.

I do her hair and put two little pigtails into it with two blue sparkly bows in them so that there isn't too much pink.

"Ok baby are you feeling better now?"I ask a now more awake Evelyn.

"Yes mama"Evelyn replies smiling to me.

I tickle her stomach making her giggle and I pick her up and bring her downstairs to say goodbye to Robbie.

"Say bye bye to dada"I say making her face Robbie, she waves to Robbie and he waves back before kissing her on the head and me on the lips.

"Ewww gross"Evelyn says giggling, I laugh and Robbie kisses Evelyn's lips and so do I making her squeal.

"I'll see you two girls later, have a good day at school Evie"Robbie says before waving once more and walking out of the door.

"It's just me and you now baby, how about we watch some tv before school yea?"I suggest and Evelyn nods, I bring her over to the couch and sit her down.

"I'll be back in a minute baby, I just gotta do something"I tell Evelyn before kissing her head and walking into the kitchen to make her a little snack.

I pack her school bag and bring it over to the front door so I can grab it before we leave.

Evelyn is only going to school two times a week, well it isn't really school it is a pre school for 3 year olds to 4 year olds until they go into kindergarten.

She is in school every Monday and Thursday every week until Christmas break.

I walk back into the living room and see Evelyn sitting watching the tv content while suckling her pacifier, I smile and join her on the couch.

I pick Evelyn up and bring her out to the car along with her backpack, I drive to her preschool and take her out of the car.

"Baby mama will be back in a couple of hours for you ok?"I say hugging Evelyn while I tear up a little bit.

"Mama you come with me?"Evelyn asks not understanding, I shake my head no and she looks at me confused.

"Mama will be back in a couple of hours baby, she will come and get you but if she isn't here for you when you get out go back to your teacher ok?"I say stroking Evelyn's cheek, she nods and smiles before hugging me.

I don't think she understands but I hope she will be ok without me or Robbie.

I say goodbye after I bring her over to her teacher, she takes Evelyn into the building and I wave to her before walking back to my car letting the tears I have been holding in fall down my cheeks.

I take a deep breath and wipe my tears before driving home.

The whole day was boring without Evelyn, she makes my days brighter and fun but today was too weird without her...
