The color of her brown orbs had changed. They shone with the brightest hue of fire.
The side of her skin which was yellow as the sun, almost began to glow.

Her fingers had become claws and her hair stood like soldiers on the front line of battle.
All her pains had been pushed away and now all she could see was red...for the blood she was about to spill.

The anger boiled both in her and in Fire, her wolf. They had touched the tail of a sleeping lion. They would have to bear the consequences.

A predator never forgives until she sees the blood of her prey.
She would hunt it down till the earth is broken.

That was what she was going to do.

As quietly as a fox,she snuck behind the Beta's quarters.
The quarters were beautiful, surrounded by gardens which were pruned day and night by slaves.

The lanterns hanging around the main parlour gave the house a stunning shade of red in the brightness of the moon.
One would have thought it to be beautiful until they discovered the filthiness of its occupants.

The guards around the house were almost like an army. There were seven in the front of the main entrance, four of which were in wolf forms.

Three were red wolves of aggression while one was a blue wolf of speed.
Fire knew that despite her anger, there was no way Aira was going to get passed the warriors.

'I would rip out their hearts and feed it to the vultures!'
Calm down Aira...
'DO NOT TELL ME TO CALM DOWN!! DID YOU NOT SEE WHAT THOSE FILTHY CURSED BABOONS DID TO OUR MOTHER!!'

MAYBE WHEN YOU GET IN AND GET US KILLED,YOU WOULD FINALLY SEE HOW FOOLISH YOU ARE BEING!
Aira's rage was getting a hold of her. She was no longer able to keep herself.

Fire knew that if Aira went overboard, she would get them both killed.
This is what Cheta was talking about...this rage of yours! It does not make you a true warrior! What makes you so different from the masters that slave us and punish us in anger?!

Aira begun to calm down. Her eyes turned back to its normal shade.
Although, she would never admit it, Fire was right and so was Cheta. Rage would get her nowhere.

'You should better have a plan,Wolf!'
Fire scoffed at her human's stubbornness.
I can not wait for the day that you would think things through before getting us killed!

'That day maybe today if you do not speak up with your plan right now! Because I am just a few cricket cries away from storming into that premises!'

The girl did not mince words. She was really deadly right now and the bridle Fire had on her would break in moments.
Fine...this would be interesting!
How good are your acting skills...Aira?

'Terrible...Why?'

"WHO DARES DISTURB THE PEACE OF THE BETA'S HOUSE?!"
The head guard's voice thundered.

All the warriors became alert, the fiery and ready-to-kill look in their eyes were menacing.
In the brightness of the moon and lanterns, a woman emerged from the shadows.

Her white robe was flawless. Her face was masked with a devilish red veil. She moved slowly but powerfully. She was poised and smooth but her approach, vicious.

They all knew who she was. At that time of the night, only two beings moved around freely; evil spirits and royal harlots.

The woman was the latter. Their signature look of white robe and a red veil over their faces easily gave them away.
"I am Oby. I have been ordered to warm the master's bed tonight."

The chief guard walked up to her, towering high above the skilled woman.
"Where is your seal of invitation?"

The woman smiled behind the veil and walked coyly towards the man, grabbing him gently by the balls and massaging him slowly.

"I must have forgotten it at the house."
She pulled her fingers off his already erecting manhood and placed it on his lips.
"Maybe I could make up for that by giving you the special treatment later on?"

It was as if all the blood and sense of reason had evaporated from the warrior through his ears.
"Go."
The woman smiled again.
Male wolves were too easy.

So...in the darkness of the night, the predator disappeared into the the chambers of her prey.
Blood...was all she could see, and it was not hers!

"Ewooooo!! This child would not kill me oh!"
Ola was sprawled out on the floor, bawling out her eyes in Cheta's chambers.

"Ola be quiet!"
The beautiful man raised his voice at the woman.
Ola kept quite but still let out small whimpers as tears ran down her face, making it more distorted than it already was.

Cheta tapped his feet nervously as he played with his dagger, moving it between his fingers.
"This would not have happened if it were not for you! I TOLD YOU NOT TO TELL HER!"

Cheta took a deep breath.
"Do you think she would have stayed back just because we did not tell her,eh. Do you see your face right now. Do you think that she would not notice?"

He stood up and walked up to where Ola laid.
"Ola...you know that she is destined for much more dangerous things! We have managed to bridle her till now but for how long did you think it would last? Did you think we could stop her from her own destiny!"

"I am her mother! Do you just want me to sit down and watch my child kill herself?"
Ola's broken voice asked. Cheta knew that she understood the situation but wanted to continue in pretence.

"Ola...SHE IS FIRE! Do not forget that Fire can not be tamed! It may be controlled for a while but when it tastes more fuel, it grows and consumes! No one can stop fire!"

Ola was silent for a while as the reality sunk in.
"What about water?"
Before Cheta had a chance to answer, a tired looking girl walked in and slumped on the rafia bed.
"Mama...I am back!"
