Nervously, Excited (pt.6)

"Ok.. So what is it about this book?" Jackie asked Kindle who was eagerly waiting to snatch it out of her hands, which she did. "Geez.. can you just explain it to me? Why are you so excited?" She zipped her bookbag and looked at the curly head confused. "Can I write something?" Kindle asked, holding a pen.

Jackie nodded and looked closely at the pages, expecting the pages to start glowing and glimmering rainbows because of how amazing everyone was making this book seem. If it's like she suspected. How did my dad get such a book? Is it that easy to claim them as your own and give it to your daughter? She wondered.

Her friend wrote 'hi' and Jackie clenched her eyes shut, not really knowing what to expect. She opened her eyes again after realizing nothing had happened. "So?" She said, now staring at the page Kindle wrote on. "Just wait." They sat for about 5 minutes... nothing. "Is this a joke?" Jackie laughed.

"No! You'll see, just wait!" Jackie shook her head and stared at the page for another two minutes. "Oh... Well I guess I got the wrong idea?" Kindle shrugged. The bell rung. "And now I'm gonna starve in 4th period, seriously Kindle?" J laughed and slightly whined as well.

"I'm sorry! By the way, am I staying at your house or are we staying at mine this weekend?" She asks, we HAVE to binge watch the new season of our favorite show 'Un-wanted love' I'm so excited, we're planning on finishing it throughout the whole weekend, it ended with a cliffhanger of TJ finding out that Brandon likes him, and it's obviously not allowed because TJ is dating Brandon's best friend Ally.. but I'm pretty sure he's gonna be gay by the end of this season. I'm so excited. It's a typical high school drama series, cheesy, cute, and something to occupy herself for the weekend.

"Your house. I don't feel like dealing with Ray. And last night my dad and step mom were uh, yeah."

"Oh," Kindle laughed. "That's awkward."

"Yep, and what's more awkward is that I texted Ray and told him to stop clapping to his clap music album." She laughed and pat Jackie's shoulder as she got up to go to her next class.

"Hey Jack." Mickey laughed from behind Jackie and ruffled her hair. "I told you to stop calling me that!" She laughed, looking up at him while he looked down at her. "My bad, Jackie. Walk with me to class?"

"Mhm," She got up, taking her and Kindle's tray to the trash and walked with her.. frenemy to class.

Clouds~

Theo laid in his bed, nervous to respond to the simple word 'hi'. UGH. He was supposed to immediately respond to her. Instead found himself pacing around his room, trying to think of something to say other than the sentence he prepared, that Flinn knew was totally cringe but said it was ok because he didn't wanna hurt his feelings or something.

"Hello... My name is Theo and I'll assist you on the other side of this book! I'll answer any questions that form in your beautiful and probably confused and terrified mind!" He started to think out loud. "Ugh! no.. too creepy" He sighed and thought of something else. "Hi! You could ask me for advice, rant to me, anything but asking about my identity! Of course you could always ask questions like "How is this happening?" "Why is this book talking back to me," "Why is your hand writing ugly, ew, I don't want you writing in my book," and many many more! I'm open to any questions you have! I know this is weird so lets try to understand together!" He quoted the questions with different tones and accents. The door bursts open.

"If you keep talking. I will hang your stupid head around a swing set!"

"Hi, Cade" Theo laughed nervously. "Sorry about that! I'll be more quiet." Waving his hand a little, he started to pace around my room again. "What are you even doing?" She leaned against the door frame. Her hair was pulled back by a spider hair clip, she wore a baggy grey shirt and black tight shorts. It's only 5:36.. she couldn't be ready for bed? He thought.

"It's rude to stare, lover boy." She rose an eyebrow.

"Hey!" Theo yelled, earning her laugh. "The name he gave you is kind-a catchy, you gotta admit." She smirked. "Anyway? I'm trying to figure out what to say to Jackie.. and I wanted to talk to Flinn, but he's at the pool party I was supposed to go to and didn't because I forgot that my friend invited me.." his voice grew softer as he spoke. I forgot, again.

"Sounds like you should go to the party and let me take care of this." She smiled. Woah... Hate is being nice.. I mean, Cade is being nice. Theo gave her a look of thanks, grabbing his bathing suit and running out of the room. I don't want to go to this party. But I always bail on Lilac, I wanna surprise her.

Meanwhile, not sure if leaving Cade to write in my book was the best idea because she might prank me and say something really embarrassing. He thought, but continued to walk to his destination.

The Dark figure grabbed a pen and stared down the book in front of her. She wrote his awkward greeting. "Hi! Im technically your diary.. you could ask me for advice, rant to me, anything but asking about my identity! Of course you could always ask questions like "How is this happening?" "Why is this book talking back to me," "Why is your hand writing ugly, ew, I don't want you writing in my book," and many many more! I'm open to any questions you have! I know this is weird so lets try to understand together!" She shook her head at how awkward the boy was and closed the book. Closing the door behind her.
