It was near the end of the long battle everyone was fighting when your life changed forever. While fighting off death eaters Ginny came to you. 'Y/N you need to come to the great hall NOW' was all she said before you followed her to the great hall. When you first walked in you saw all the people who unfortunately killed in the battle which they didn't deserve. Some included some of the youngest students who snuck in to fight. This just broke your heart already.
While walking through the great hall you spotted the familiar group of gingers and saw them hugging one another while standing around something well more like someone. You walked over to them and Molly pulled you into a hug as soon as she saw you. 'I'm so sorry dear' Molly whispered into your ear before pulling away from the hug. You looked around the sad group of Weasley's when you noticed Fred, your boyfriend, wasn't there. Instantly you worried until you looked down at the ground and saw him lying there. It took a second to process the scene you were looking at. Once it registered you dropped to your knees next to him and pulled his hand into yours as you began to cry. This was it. The love of your life was laying here lifeless.

That night after the battle the burrow was quiet. Everyone was trying to process that there was one less Weasley. While everyone was inside I went outside, past the garden and to the tree that Fred and I carved our initials into when we started dating in our third year. I noticed the initials and the heart were still there and traced over them with my finger before sitting down and leaning my back against the tree. 'I need you now by my side Freddie, I can't live without you.' I whispered to myself. Now I found myself looking back on all the memories with him. The memories flooded my mind rapidly.

I still remember the smile on his face that day. The way he talked about wanting a future together. It breaks me that now we won't have that future together.

Those were the most comforting cuddles I got in life. One of the things we did if he wasn't out pranking or when we weren't out on dates. Oh and those dates were always perfect. No matter if it was a simple picnic

More and more memories came to mind causing a few tears to go down my face. After a while I got up and looked towards the sky with a slight and weak smile. 'No matter what happens your my forever love. I wish you could be here with me. We wanted to grow old together or as you called it grow into sacks of wrinkles together. I'll miss your jokes and your smile. I know we all miss you. It hurts that you're gone but this pain isn't forever it's only until we meet again my love. Above all I love you always Freddie.' I say knowing he's up there listening before finally going inside to bed.
