Hinata sat up when he felt a cramp in his lower stomach. He started touching at his belly. His small hands rubbed at the top of his tiny bump. There wasn't a bump.

"To-tobio," Shoyo tried to stutter out but all the came out was a whisper. The ginger who was enwreathed in soft blankets removed those blankets.

"Tobio!" the short man yelled. There was blood. There was blood all over the sheets. Hinata's hands started to shake at his chest, his breathing going from short to fast. The ravenette shot up as soon as heard his husband cry, only to be met with... with that.

Kageyama has never reacted faster in his life. Despite only wearing pajama pants, he picked up the older boy and raced him out to the car. The boy weeped in the lankier males arms. Never in his life had he felt more emptier.

"Shh, it's okay," Tobio whispered to him, buckling him in at the speed of lightning and racing to the drivers side. As soon as his own seatbelt was on, Kageyama gripped Shoyo's hand. Hinata just whimpered in his seat, gripping at his stomach. His empty stomach.

...

"I'm so sorry," the nurse told them sincerely.

Hinata always wanted kids. Especially with Kageyama. So what happened? What made him change his mind about that. Why did he not want kids. Maybe because his job, he loved his job like he loved himself but... all of a sudden, his job meant nothing.

When he became pregnant, despite how much he hated it, he had changed his mindset completely. He even once pictured the three of them at Christmas opening up presents, now it's all being ripped away from him.

He didn't know this type of pain would come from... from a miscarriage.

"There was nothing you could have done to prevent this, you had a very healthy pregnancy and you can definitely try again. Miscarriage's, especially in the first trimester, are very common," she stated, writing something down on paper.

"Wait, s-so it wasn't me? I didn't do anything? I didn't ki-kill my baby," my baby. Hinata thought it was his fault.. He killed his own baby.  No, not a fetus, a baby.

"No, of course it wasn't you, love," she had a look in her eye, a very empathetic look. Shoyo looked at his husband, expecting him to hate the poor boy. After all, he was the one who took away any thought of a future child.

But when he saw Kageyama, the lankier male just smiled. He just smiled. A simple smile. Short and vivid.

When they left that room, Tobio just held Hinata in his arms.

"I'm so, so sorry Tobi. I-i know yo-you real-" he was cut short by a pair of lips softly touching his.

"No, no, no. Don't be sorry. We'll just, we'll try again? Alright? If... that's what you want right?" Kageyama said, leading them towards the car. The other boy looked down for a second.

If he said yes, he'd loose his job. Though, the empty feeling right now is so much worse than loosing a job, but then again, he'd worked so hard to get where he was now, so if they did start trying then all that hard work would go down the drain.

If he said no, a part of his husband would go, and apart of him would go with it. He would keep his job, he'd keep doing what he loved. None of this hard work would go down the drain and he wouldn't have to go through the terrible pregnancy his friends would rant about. They always said they'd never get pregnant again. Like Akaashi, after his first pregnancy, despite loving his and Bokuto's kid to bits, he couldn't do it again. Well, except that fact that he's gotten pregnant twice after that time.

Hinata looked about at Tobio, and said.

"I... I just. Let me think about it... please," Shoy noticed the sad impression that washed over Kageyama in a matter of seconds.

"No, of course,"
