Her Love

Like the wind she was there and gone in a flash.

She rushes through my head like a waterfall in Summer.

She smelled just like candy.

Her love was as vast as the universe.

Her voice as soft as silk.

She was as bright as the sun.

She was as beautiful as the night sky.

She was as joyful as a child on Summer break.

She was as fun as a hyper puppy.

Her love was just as radiant as flowers in Spring.

Her smile could brighten everyone's day.

There are no words that can compare to our sadness when she passed away.

Her love is what makes me, me, so I will love everyone just like she did.

Her love is what carries and inspires everyone to do the impossible.

No matter what happens in life keep your chin up and you too can do the impossible.

This poem was the very first one I have ever written. I dedicate this poem to my grandmother Linda Kay Carmichael Who passed away peacefully on June 15, 2015. I am her namesake. I was named after her and her younger sister who also passed on. My grandmother raised me for the first 11 years of my life. I hope to make her proud and join her one day in the Celestial Kingdom for the rest of eternity.

PS. The picture above is of my Grandma the day she beat cancer. That was one of the best days of my life.
