Accident| 9

Rylan's POV

While I was waiting for Adam Coach came out of the arena.  

" Hey Coach!" I said with an exited tone, " great game today wouldn't you say?"

" Yeah we did awesome, and we're going to the finals.  But I cam here to talk to you about something," He said quickly getting serious.

" Yeah sure what is it?" I ask.

" Rylan I just got a call and it was from the police and they told me that your mom was driving your father home from work to come see the game, and they got into a car accident and they didn't make it," He said looking down at the ground.  " I'm really sorry Rylan.  I already told Adam and I called the Banks and they said that you can live with them now."

I didn't say anything then I heard the arena door swing open and I see Adam coming running up to me and hugging me really tight.  My eyes burst out in tears my legs gave out so I slowly fell onto my knees with Adam still holding me.  I couldn't stop crying and I could feel his shirt getting all wet but he didn't care he never let me go.  I could hear a car pulling up and the next thing I know I feel three people hugging me, I automatically knew it was the rest of the Banks family.  I felt my body being scooped up into a bridal position and carried to their car.  Adam and Coach grabbed my gear and put it in the trunk.  Brian put me in the back seat with Adam sitting beside me giving me a giant hug, I didn't put my seat belt on, neither did Adam or Brian.  The Banks drove us to their house and we all headed inside I walked and sat down on the couch with Brian and Adam joining me on both sides.  I felt more tears stream down my face Adam just gave me a big hug stroking my hair and rubbing my back.

" Shhhh, it's ok Rylan it's going to be ok," I hear Brian tell me giving me a hug.

I could barely talk I was crying so much, " No.. it's...not, they're bo...th gone.. and......not. co.mi..ng... back," that just made me cry even more.

Hours went by and I didn't stop crying one bit, Adam and Brian never left my side the whole time.  When I calmed down a bit I went upstairs and changed into some sweat pants and one of Adam's hoodies and went back downstairs.  

" Hey Rylan do you want to watch a movie tonight?" Brian asked while handing me a glass of water.

" Sure," I said with no expression and looking at the ground.

I went on the couch and drank the water then went outside in the backyard and sat on one of the chairs.  I was greeted by Mrs. Banks sitting beside me.

" Hello there sweetie how are you feeling?" she asked while taking a sip of her drink.

" I don't know, I just feel numb right now and in shock of what happened," I said lookin down and putting my hands in my  pockets.  I knew Mrs. Banks felt bad for me, her and my mom were really close friends as well as mine and Adam's dad.

For the rest of the day I stayed in the my bedroom also known as the spare bedroom looking at old pictures of me and my parents and different photo albums tears slowly falling down my face.  Then I hear my door open and I look up to see Brian standing there with Adam and a bunch of my favourite snacks and movies.  

" Hey Rylan," Adam said, " we uh got you some stuff to make you feel better," he said with a small smile crossing his lips.  

" Yeah and we got movies as well," Brian said holding up some of my favourite movies.

I smiled a bit and I got up and gave them both a huge hug.  " I love you guys so much."

" We love you too," they both said.

We spent the rest of the day watching movies and eating junk food until I fell asleep on Adam's shoulder.

Adam's POV

"Brian," I whisper yell to him.

" What the fuck do you want?" he responded shoving chips in his mouth.

" She fell asleep dumbass!" I say pointing at her.  " What do we do with her, we can't just leave her."

" You're right here I'll clean up you tuck her in, ok," Brian said to me getting up from the bed.

" What! No are you crazy?  I'll clean up and you tuck her in," I whisper yelled to him.

" No I will clean up," he says.

We then start arguing for a while then I feel a pair of arms wrap around my torso, I look down and I see Rylan hugging me while she's asleep.

" Yeah you're definetly not cleaning up now," he said quickly grabbing all of the snack then leaving the room.

" You little piece of shit," I say as he leaves the room.  I looked down at Rylan and smiled to myself she looked so calm when she was asleep, but her eyes were all red and puffy from crying.  A while later I eventually fell asleep as well.

I woke up for some reason kinda like when your body just wakes up in the middle of the night for no reason.  I crept back to my room giving Rylan an extra blanket in case she got cooled at all.  I put on my pajamas, I looked at the time and it was 10:08pm.  I brushed my teeth and then headed to bed.
