Rylan's POV

I woke up th enext morning at 6:30 in the morning I wanted to stay in bed all say but I couldn't so I got dressed, crept downstairs and quickly ate somebreakfast then grabbed my skates and stick then left a note to where I was going.  I closed the door and headed to the pond to skate for a bit just messing around, taking some shots on the rusty net, I looked at my watch and it ws already 8:45, it honestly only fel like i've been here for five minutes.  Then I turn my head to see the rest of the ducks coming this way including Adam, I was aurprised to see them up at this hour becuase I know for a fact that Adam would sleep in all day for sure.  

They all tied their skates and joined me on the ice passing the puck to each other and shooting.

" Hey Rylan we heard about what happened and we're really sorry about what happened to your parents so we got you a few things that might cheer you up a bit," Charlie said handing me a poster with a bunch of pictures of me and my family.  I smiled and gave them all a hug, I felt a small tear fall down my face as I hugged them tighter.

" Thank you guys so much, it means a lot," I say while wipping the tear from my face.

" Hey what are friends for am I right!" Charlie said looking at everyone with everyone nodding in agreement.

We were all playing hockey for the whole day, I had a huge grin on my face, I was having the time of my life with these people.  Just then we heard voices coming from behind, I turn around and see Mcgill and Larsson at the top of a hill with the rest of the Hawks behind them.  I thought to myself just great this day just got worse.  

" Hey Fowler how're your parents doing?" Mcgill asked getting a few laughs from the rest of the team behind him.

" Oh wait they're dead!" Larsson said with a huge grin on his face getting a fist pump from Mcgill.

I couldn't take it anymore these boys used to be my best friends and now all they do is try to make my life a living hell.  My hands curled into fists and I could feel tears streeming my face as I walked up to them punching them in the face and kicking them in the croch and tried to punch them even more but I was being pulled back by Adam, Charlie, and Fulton.  I tried kicking my way out of their grip but it was no use.  Mcgill and Larsson both got up, Mcgill with a bloody nose and Larsson with a huge bruise on his face.  I stared them down my face stained with tears. 

" You little bitch!" I hear Mcgill scream at me.

" Alright you want more?!" I ask walking back up to them but the boys just held me back again, I kept trying to move but it was pointless.  I felt myself start crying even more as I fell to the ice I feel Adam wrap his arms round me aswell as the rest of the teams.  Mcgill and Larsson and the rest of the Hawks left but before they did Mcgill yelled.

" You guys are going down in finals," I hear him say to us as they all leave.

I stayed on the ice with the team hugging me I knew that Mcgill and Larsson were lying, and were just trying to act cool around the rest of the team.  

After a while of staying on the ice crying, Charlie and Guy went to go find a close payphone to call Mr. and Mrs. Banks.  They came back and told us that they were on their way and if the team wanted to come to their house they could.  Everyone agreed to and Mr. Banks pulled up on the side of the pond and we all crawled.  I sat beside Adam and Connie with my head resting on Adam's shoulder, my eyes were almost like a blood shot red from crying so much.  

" Hey Rylan it's going to be alright, we're going to have a great time at you and Adam's house tonight, ok," she said rubbing my back.

I just nodded in response and felt Adam's arm creep over my shoulder and pull me closer to him.  We eventualy got to our house and we all climbed out of the car and went inside and headed for the basement we all sat on the couch while Averman and Guy were playing foosball in the corner.  Me and Connie went to grab snacks from upstiars to bring down to share with the team.  I sat on the floor with a huge blanket wrapped around my body and oppened a bag of chips.  I felt someone sit beside and I look over to see Charlie grabbing some of my chips and stealing some of the blanket from me.

" Hey Spazway, stop stealing my stuff," I say snatching the bag from his hands.

" Hey hey calm down there buddy, I was just grabbing a few chips and wanted the blanket chill," he said putting his hands up beside his head. 

" Fine," I say handing him the chips and giving him the blanket for us to share.

We all put on a few movies and all bonded with each other, I could feel myslef start to get sleepy.  I was sitting beside Adam and Charlie on the couch with the blanket all of us were sharing.  I could feel myself fall asleep on someone's shoulder but the moment I did I was out like a light.

Charlie's POV

We were all just hanging around at Adam's and Rylans house watching movies and talking, when I feel someone's head fall onto my shoulder.  I look down and see that Rylan had fallen asleep on me, she looked really cute and everything but I didn't know what so I tapped Adam.  " Adam!" I whisper yell to him, " She fell asleep, what do we do?" I ask pointing at her.

" Here give me one second, don't move, I need to grab something quickly," he said and the next thing you know he's gone out of the room.  Actually since Adam and Rylan have joined the team me and Adam have become really good friends with each other.

He comes back with a pillow and a stuffed animal?

" Alright I've down this a bunch of times and it's very simple so you are going to hold her head and stand up alright.  Are you following along so far?" He asked to me, I just nodded.  " Alright then I'll slide the pillow in from where you were sitting then you hand her this," he said pointing at a really worn out teddy bear.

" Umm yeah ok, but quick question what's with the bear?" I ask pointing at it with a cinfused expression on my face.

" It's her favourite teddy bear, she's had it since she was a baby, she sleeps with it every night." He said shaking it in my face.

" Ok noted, alright let's do this," I say slowly lifting Rylan's head off my shoulder.

I was still holding her head and stood up from the couch, Adam slipt the pillow in the slot where I was sitting.  I gently placed her head on the pillow and gave her the teddy bear, me and Adam gave each other a fist pump in accomplishment.

A few hours later we all got picked up by our parents to head home.  I changed into my pajamas and went straigth to bed, I had to get a good nights rest because tomorrow was our game against the Hawks.
