I can't believe this is it. One more to go.  This is my longest chapter.  There is a lot happening so please make sure you read it alert.

I only used two AM songs this book, she's thunderstorms and---this one is off Submarine.

This was the pivotal chapter. I wanted to do a spin off (not soon but eventually) and this was was the chapter that defined it.

I cried a lot during a music scene.
I love you guys.

October 31st, 2:30 a.m.

Alistair made his way out of his room with a rolled up blanket in his hand. Stella fell asleep in the cabaret and he wanted her to wake up to the twinkling lights of the Eiffel Tower.

Making his way to the main hall, he caught a whiff of Kid. Alistair furrowed his brows and tuned into his instinct. Something was going on behind his back and Nathaniel was involved. Alistair sighed and walked towards the scent.

Entering the dining room he saw Kid dressed in all black, standing near the French doors with a drink in hand staring out at the full moon. Alistair was so caught up in his own world, it skipped his mind that tonight Kid would be turning.

Alistair swallowed the lump in his throat remembering the agony and torture Kid endured the first time he turned. He can still hear Marie convincing him to let Kid go to New Orleans. Alistair felt guilt gnaw at him when he remembered praising Marie for helping him.

"Are you gonna stand there watching me like one of those--- ghosts ?" Kid spoke without turning around. His gravelly voice snapping Alistair back to reality.

Alistair smirked walking into the dining room placing the blanket over a chair. "Nah--I was gonna wait until you took off so I can haunt you via the rear view mirror of your long drive."

Alistair walked over to the bar pouring himself a glass of bourbon. He took a sip furrowing his brows. "Mm--" He licked his lips. "Is that why you like riding a motorbike? So you don't have to sit in someone's lap and stick your head out the window?" He pressed his lips down smiling with a twinkle in his eyes.

Kid stared at him, smiling unimpressed. Alistair continued gesturing with his hand flicking his pretend long hair back. "Just getting all that wind in your luscious hair?" He flicked his wrists back.

"You're in a good mood."

"What can I say, I had a ---great night." Alistair arched his brow, throwing back his drink before wiping his mouth on the back of his hand.

Kid raised his brows. "Yea--we heard." He cleared his throat ignoring any comeback from Alistair .

"But seriously Al—-you ready for tonight?"

"Are you?" Alistair shot back with a raised brow. "Because---" He walked closer to Kid tapping his pointed finger in front of him as he spoke.

"There's something going on and you're not telling me. And don't lie because I'll just go strangle it out of Nathaniel."

Kid nodded. "There is something going on and I can't tell you about it."

Alistair squinted at how honest and forward Kid was. "Is it about Stella?"

Kid nodded looking away. He exhaled. "And me, yes."

Alistair scoffed. He began to speak but his eyes landed on Kid's leather jacket hanging over his packed bags in the corner.

Alistair swallowed the lump in his throat. He knew his brother saw Stella before she entered his life, he knew he formed feelings for her and that they weren't reciprocated in a romantic way. Kid did say he was leaving, but seeing his packed bags shocked Alistair.
