BONUS SCENE before tomorrow night's final chapter.

Did you guys really think I wasn't going to show you Alistair's first scene back in the sun?

----------

None of them could sleep after the ritual. They all sat around the dining table. Marcus and Jackson looked in wonder over Kid's transformation. They both met him in the 50's. To see him again in this state was mind boggling.

Stella sat at the head of the table keeping her eyes on Kid, watching his every move. He was staring down at his black t shirt shaking his head at how small he was in comparison to his older, more muscular self. Stella watched on. He looked like Alistair more so than the Kid she met. But something about him was different. A sense of playful childlike wonder was painted across his face. His features were softer than Alistair's, younger, even though they were the same age.

Kid looked up at her, raising his brow. A half smile curved up his lips. His big brown eyes still familiar, still soft. But there was a hint of a devilish twinkle to them hiding behind his curled hair draped over his forehead.

He looked to see Marcus and Jackson lost in a conversation over a morning spread. He got up walking towards Stella and sat beside her, keeping his eyes on her he leaned forward furrowing his brows.

"Doll---how do you feel?" A smile slowly curved on her lips. Stella didn't know how to answer. Kid literally died for her not knowing he would return. His devotion to protect her, their connection, everything about it baffled her.

"Stella?" He leaned looking up at her meeting her eyes. "How do you feel love?"

"Like--I don't know how I'll ever thank you."

He smiled reaching for her hand. She swallowed sharply feeling his touch. It felt familiar yet new. He squeezed her hand.

"Doll---I'm sorry I put you through that. I didn't know I was gonna come back. Even Darla didn't know until tonight that she can use the blue moon to bring me back."

Stella smiled. "Gotta thank those blue moon girls."

Kid nodded, smiling agreeing with her. He swallowed the lump in this throat studying every feature of her face.

Stella noticed he was far off thinking. "You're still gonna leave?"

He furrowed his brows. "I thought leaving would help me move on---from everything. I don't want you to feel bad or feel like you owe me anything---but frankly, I didn't wanna watch you and Alistair, the way I watched Darla grow old without me. But-----this." He looked down at himself chuckling, raising his brows not believing his transformation.

"This---fucking changes everything. They gave me a second chance. Nathaniel told me what Darla did but I'm hoping I can see her again. She hasn't come to me yet. I need to understand what's going on."

Stella leaned forward placing her other hand on top of his. "You told me once that we can live in different lifetimes. That you and I----" Stella licked her lips sighing. She needed to be careful with her words.

She smiled continuing. "You said that we can have different life times. You had a life time of trying hard to redeem yourself. So maybe, enjoy this one. You're young again. It's a clean slate. You're free. You have no idea how many people wish to live their entire life over again---to right their wrongs."

Kid searched her eyes. He died for her not knowing he'd be back. A part of him was scared of how much he can lose himself in her. He parted his lips to speak when a song erupted around them.
