"WHAT DO YOU mean your dad is trying to get Stiles' dad fired?"

"I mean, my dad is trying to get Stiles' dad fired because the department can't close a case", Scott mumbled on the phone as Cassiopeia was getting ready for school.

"Dude, I'm like this close to punching your dad in the guts for being a dick!"

She said while jumping down the stairs to get some breakfast. She saw Isaac in the kitchen, cooking some eggs and bacon with a towel on his shoulder. A small smile plastered itself on her face as he sent her a wink.

"We have something to show you when you get to school. It's about the Tate case"

"Okay, I'll see you later. Bye Scotty"

"Bye Cas", he responded before hanging up. Huffing in disbelief, Cassiopeia couldn't believe she was already involved in a missing person investigation on her third week back.

"Everything okay?"

Isaac asked as the brunette nodded her head, not wanting to worry him. The boy pressed a kiss on her forehead, the action making her blush. She was still not used to all the physical attention he was giving her. It could go from holding her hand, rubbing circles on her arm or even to nibbling at her neck. He always wanted her by his side, and who was she to say no when she wanted the same?

"IT'S RIGHT IN the middle of the hiking trails", Stiles said while pointing at his tablet as Cassiopeia stood next to Scott, her arms crossed over her chest.

"That could narrow it down- but if you've invaded her den, she won't go back there. Coyotes don't like wolves, trust me"

"And they're really smart. If they don't want to be heard, they actually walk on their toes", Allison continued as Stiles tilted his head in disbelief. "Coyotes tip-toe?"

"prost"
dumbass

The brunette mumbled under her breath as the school bell rang, bringing them all back to reality.

"I got to go, but send me the pinned location"

"Me too, I'll see you guys in Econ", Cassiopeia called out while walking out of the History class. Though not before hearing Kira and Scott exchange words, making her chuckle softly when she heard his heart beat increase.

"What are you smiling at, psycho?"

Isaac asked while wrapping an arm around her waist, making her jump gently since she didn't hear him. "Damnit Lahey, you scared me"

She said as the sandy haired boy laughed. The two of them walked together in English, hand in hand as everyone whispered around them. They still weren't used to seeing the Lahey boy smiling, or seeing the Miller girl back in Beacon Hills.

SHE WAS SITTING in class, mindlessly playing with her phone when an urgent text from Scott appeared on her screen. Her eyes widened before asking the teacher for a bathroom pass.

The brunette ran across the halls, all the way towards the bathroom next to the lacrosse lockers.

"It's just a dream. It's just a dream", Stiles kept whispering as he gripped the marble sink with force.

"No, it's not. This is real. You're here. You're here with me"

"Stiles. Stiles. How do you tell if you're awake or dreaming?", Cassiopeia asked as grunts and panting came from Stiles' mouth. She wanted to hold him, rub his back and tell him that he was okay. But she knew that would startle him too much.

"Your fingers...you count your fingers. You have extra fingers in dreams"

"How many do I have? Hey! Stiles! Look at me. Come on, Stiles-"

Cassiopeia said as Scott look desperately at his best friend. He hated being hopeless in a situation like this.

"Look at my hands and count with me", Scott asked Stiles as Cassiopeia placed a soft hand on his. The three of them counted together, or until Stiles had finally called down.

"Ten"

"Ten"

"Ten"

They said at the same time as Stiles sunk to the floor. His back was pressed against the wall as he buried his head in his hands. The two werewolves slowly walked towards him, careful not to startle him too much.

"What the hell is happening to me?"

"We'll figure it out"

"You're going to be okay-"

"Am I? Are you? Scott, you can't transform. Allison's being haunted by her dead aunt. And I'm straight up losing my mind", the blue eyed boy stated as a matter of fact.

"We can't do this. We can't...we can't help Malia"

"Yes we can, Stiles. We'll find a way too, we always do", Cassiopeia whispered softly at the brown haired before pressing a hand on his. Stiles squeezed her hand as if she was a lifeline.

"We can't save everyone"

"We can try. We can always try", Scott said as they all stared at each other, silently agreeing with what they other was sayings. That was until Scott ran out of the bathroom, the two others looking at each other with frowned eyebrows but didn't say anything.

Cassiopeia wrapped two arms around Stiles, the boy putting his face in the crook of her neck as they stayed like that for minutes. The two of them finding comfort in the other.

"We should have a Star Wars marathon soon"

"We should, you have a lot to tell me about Romania", Stiles whispered while holding her closer to his chest. Cassiopeia couldn't help the chuckle that escaped her lips as she pushed his hair away from his face. "I've missed you Stil-"

"She was here"

Scott practically shouted while bursting through the door of the bathroom. Eyes widened in realization as the three teenagers ran out of the bathroom to fall face to face with Noah Stilinski. Of course, that was before Cassiopeia saw Kira holding onto a locker. Her heart beating so fast, the brunette could practically feel it.

"Kira! Kira, hey, are you okay?"

"I-how did a coyote get inside of the school?", the Asian girl asked with frowned eyebrows as the brunette shrugged. "Come on, let's get you something to eat"

She said with a small smile as the raven haired girl smiled appreciatively to the werewolf. Scott nodded at the brunette, though his eyes were trained on the raven haired girl. She could tell Scott had a small crush, or interest, in Kira. It made her heart swell, knowing he was finally getting over Allison.

"Okay, let's go"
